About this product

Aegon offered a Retiready Pension which was withdrawn for new customers from December 2023. For existing customers, it has a maximum service charge of 0.5% per year.

I have two policies with this lot.

have two policies with this lot. I reached 55 and had received a letter saying do you want to withdraw your pots. 2.5k in total. Since 29 April ive been trying. Ive had rude operators and stalling tactics like you wouldnt believe sending only a few of the forms they required. We need these forms then provided me with the ones they never sent and a very easy to rectify mistake, so sent them again in reply to an email they are attached too. They ignored them and referred to the originals 4 days later. Call us back.... I did they wouldnt put me through. Theyve been deliberately messing me around to hold onto 'My money' as long as they can. Everyone else paid weeks ago. This lot, request a quote request forms we wont send them for weeks then not all of them. Its now June nothing and no closer. Yesterday I gave an ultimatum. We sort it today or else. They they messed me around again. I said ill do this they went 'Aright &^&^' like I was boring them. On hanging up. They were reported to Action Fraud. The FCA have requested evidence I was holding off until my last ditch attempt. Theyve received the evidence. They are also getting a county court summons in the next few weeks. If your a company looking for a provider or you have a choice. I put a review on another site. The said "Theyd look into it and noticed youve now withdrawn your request to get the money". Started April 29th I withdrew it June 4th still no money. I said ive had no choice you wont pay it out I have to get another financial firm to get it off you. Case proven. Reviewed on: 5th June 2025

Terrible online portal, takes about 3-4 minutes to load, and even then often fails to load the pension scheme. Adding a new employee to a pension scheme is ridiculous, and involves manually creating a spreadsheet file and then attempting to upload and manually map it, and again this often takes multiple attempts and is anything but simple. After much waiting on to chat to customer support, it's clear that Aegon know they have issues and that the online portal has been running and slow for weeks, but they have no timeframe in which they expect a resolution. If you are looking for a pension scheme provider, I highly recommend looking for one that actually has an online portal that works. Aegon this is just not good enough. By way of comparison, to sign in to Nest Pensions takes seconds, to add a new employee takes under 1 minute and can be done on screen, their phone support is brilliant and they offer actual integrations with payroll software like BrightPay. Been with Aegon over 15 years.

Been with Aegon over 15 years. Put one of my pension funds elsewhere recently. It has made more in one month than Aegon in over 15 years. Aegon lost over 13000 pounds in that period. New company made 1500 pounds in one month. Enough said. Reviewed on: 4th December 2024

Taking incompetence and ineptitude to levels I previously thought not possible. The utter disdain they have shown me, failing to follow basic instructions, not replying to emails and do everything in their capabilities to prevent access to withdrawals. I was only cashing a small pot pension which has now taken over 3 months and still hasn’t been completed. but will now be transferring my remaining accounts away from the business despite their undoubted best efforts at frustrating the process. Appalling service ,

Appalling service ,husband been trying to get his pension and some draw down since December. Complain made and the sent £150 to his account to apologise and uphold his complaint. Now say they can’t confirm his account ( which thé have paid into ) therefore can’t send his money . Interest list in the period December to now is approx £800 . They are profiting from his money. As he has had major heart surgery and TIÀs this is causing extreme stress. Reviewed on: 5th November 2024

Website inoperative

Customer online investment details has been down for 5 weeks - usual corporate email responses but now taking further. I find it unacceptable that this company have no sense to get the website up and running - appears to be no urgency. Reported this situation this morning rot the financial ombudsman - lots of very expensive but in effective senior management. Should we be concerned? Reviewed on: 30th September 2024

Awful company!
