I needed to contact AMEX to get a new card as my old card had become a little worse for ware....staff member answering my call was v helpful and polite...card received within 3 days too! Reviewed on: 5th February 2015

5* service :-)

I needed to change an address and request a replacement card. The phone was picked-up well within 30 sec of me ringing-up, and both requests were done quickly a very friendly American Express agent. Reviewed on: 12th January 2016

American Express Cashback Card

I'm just a month shy of a year of using this card and I love it. I opened the card to take advantage of the 5% cashback for three months and this got my cashback off to a flying start. I've only ever had to call customer service once and they were very knowledgeable, understanding and efficient. Online banking is brilliant, does everything you need it to, it even shows pending transactions pretty much immediately so you know what to expect. I log on about once a week to check out the spending offers - they've had some brilliant ones that I've taken advantage of including statement credit for Amazon and the Post Office. I've only ever had two instances when AMEX wasn't accepted and this was at a local hairdressers and IKEA, other than that, it's a lot more widely accepted than people think! great card for all you need

I appreciate the great customer service from american express and in particular the friendliness and overall attitude of the team. Not accepted at all retailers

just moved to free credit card from American Express to benefit from the £100 Nectar points offer but slightly disappointed to see card not accepted at:KFC,Burger King,GBK,etc Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Lots of great spending incentives

If you want an unexpected treat or an incentive to spend that also allows you to save, then get an Amex credit card. Amex do many great cashback offers throughout the year for high street shops but also do a shop small event at the end of every year where you get £5 back if you spend £10 or over. The only disadvantages are that not all shops accept amex and some of their offers aren't universally available. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Cashback bonus!

I have been using my American Express Platinum cashback card for over a year now and I just got my cashback statement. Wow that is a great bonus to receive an amount of money that I had forgotten about just for making my usual purchases throughout the year. I highly recommend it! Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Good service this eve

Friendly customer service tonight when my card payment wouldn't go through online. Quick to answer call as always - but I guess 10pm on a sunday night may not be peak hours! Reviewed on: 1st November 2015

need visa as back up

I use this card as I have had it for years and it gives cashback. However, some retailers don't accept it so you do need another card as backup Reviewed on: 31st August 2015
