I needed to contact AMEX to get a new card as my old card had become a little worse for ware....staff member answering my call was v helpful and polite...card received within 3 days too! Reviewed on: 5th February 2015

A great range of rewards will keep me using this for ever

I now have 3 different credit cards with American Express and have to say that the rewards your receive with them are outstanding. I regularly get sent rewards on all of the cards such as Shop Small where you get £5 back on a £10 spend at selected local retailers once a year and spend £50 at House of Fraser and get £10 back. You can buy gift cards for the £50 and then save them up for the sales etc. The reward/cashback normally comes through straight away (you get an email to say it has gone through) but on the rare occasions that it has not customer service have always applied it to my account with no hassle. I am also currently getting 5% cashback for 3 months on their credit card. The only fault is that some smaller retailers do not take American Express but I am finding that more and more do Reviewed on: 9th August 2015

brilliant company to do business with

good company to deal with they charge excellent rates on there credit, loads to reminders to make surte you pay on time so you avoid late payment fees. Also give you offers to spend instore like £5 on Bp everytime you fill up £50 and the offer it lasted 2 months over xmas when people really need all the help you get Reviewed on: 22nd April 2015

Good company so long as you are on their good side.

American Express does give you a wonderful card product, although its slightly more expensive than other cards to use. Customers service is wonderful, if you pay on time. They are not very accomodating if you ever run into financial trouble and cannot pay the bill. Don't ever deal with their collections department if you can avoid it. Reviewed on: 17th April 2015

Comfortable and trustworthy

I never leave home without it! It's accepted is all the stores I shop, and it helps me keep track of my spending. Additional cards for the kids are a plus, each one of my teens had one growing up and learned how to use credit without getting themselves in trouble. The customer service has always been top notch. great choice

American express everyday credit card is one of my favorite. It always have a 3% cashback in grocery stores, and 2% cashback in gas stations. It can also be used in the Costco, which most credit cards cannot. No annual fee, the service is also very good. Reviewed on: 14th April 2015

Very good, but many places don't accept it

A very nice credit card, but it's not something a lot of places accept. For example when we go to other countries, they all accept Visa and Master Card, but they refuse to accept American Express. Reviewed on: 14th April 2015

Easy use with limited places.

The security of using the American Express card was very useful at times. I always felt it was secure and my protection was a high priority of this company. I have only had the card for a few months, and have found that many local businesses in my small town do not accept the card. So what I do, is save it for times that I travel or am out of town. I do go into the city often, and have found it very useful there. I also feel even though its being used in a large environment, I still feel its safe and secure and always keeps my security private. I have had stores that have said they take American Express, but once I get to checking out, they tell me other wise. Luckily I have had other cards, such as Master card and Visa on me at the times. Made me upset with the American Express card, but in the end it would work out. Would recommend this card to people who live in big towns or cities. Not recommended if you like to shop in small local businesses. They will tell you that American Express charges too much in fees for their small business to use. Reviewed on: 13th April 2015

I am pretty unhappy regarding the benefits of using the American Express Card.

There are so many credit card companies in the market nowadays with better benefits than American Express. I feel they are not giving back to their customers in the way of point benefits like the other cards in the market. The only reason I use this card is because Costco uses this card. I have recently obtained a card which gives me 2 points per dollar spent and started using my American Express card a lot less. Reviewed on: 13th April 2015
