WORST BUSINESS "SUPPORT" I HAVE EVER! EXPERIENCED! DO NO USE BARCLAYS

DO NOT USE BARCLAYS! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! Do not! Open a business account with these absolute jokes! They need a signature on my account until I get full access to my account, features, and able to extend my bounce back loan!! So extremely important, sounds simple doesn't it this has been going on since beginning of JUNE 2021 it is now mid December 2021!...... I have filled in 11 yes 11 forms both a PDF online forms and forms they have sent me via post, but they have not added the signature to my account, they say they have not received it, even though I have sent using their pre-paid envelopes! And when done online their email address! I have called every other week for six months! Six months!! Trying to run a business and call Barclay's for at least 2 hours, and promises and promises, blame on the other team go to that team blame the other team and so on, and yet I still, have not got a signature on my account! Working from home is NOT working for Barclays, they are beyond useless! If my employee was as useless as the team they have working on the phones in the business team, they most certainly would have been sacked by now! They are NOT doing their job! Unfortunately, when you call for the 100th time and a little frustrated as they have yet not received ANOTHER signed form! And start to express y our frustration they hang up on you! DO NOT DEAL WITH BARCLAY BUSINESS!! I HAVE A FEW OTHER BUSINESS ACCOUNTS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER “SUPPORT” OF THEM ALL, IN FACT THE WORST SO-CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD! GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE, PLEASE DO NOT USE BARCLAYS! YOU WILL REGRET IT. Reviewed on: 13th December 2021

A careless attitude from Barclay's

Barclays blocked my card on the 8/11/2025 as they thought there had been fraud on the 3/11/2025. A new card was sent. This card was blocked before I had a chance to use it. Another card was sent which I never received. Numerous requests for a new card were made, no card arrived. It was not a case of not having a healthy balance. 18/12/2025 I still waiting for a new card. Barclay's staff are rude, interrupt when I am speaking and trying to shout me down. These people are all foreigners who by their attitudes should not be in a customer service environment. Barclay's have adopted the same attitude if could not care less. After 40 years as a customer I can say I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude shown by this once glorious bank Reviewed on: 18th December 2025

I tried to activate a new card after my old one expired, but I must have messed it up somehow. I had to call customer service to get it activated with security. They asked me to fax a bunch of ID paperwork. I called back later—some of it passed, but I had to refax because other parts didn’t. Eight months later, I’mSTILL HERE TRYING TO GET IN MY ACCOUNT! can see anything!!! BAD BAD CS! Reviewed on: 13th November 2025

I had a bussiness account with Barclays for about 4 years. At some point they kept asking me silly questions (like why i take cash reguraly from my account). The call center us in India, talking with someone who speaks bad english (accent) and has no understanding of life in the UK is a major problem. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

Dreadful and a complete waste of money

As a freelance designer, I thought it would be good to have a business bank account - sounded more professional. The reality is that I get absolutely nothing back from Barclays for having my business account. It has never been useful to me and now all the branches are closed. The only reason I still have it, is that they are SO difficult to contact, I have never found the time to work out how to switch to a regular account that I don't have to pay for every month. Be prepared for interrogation

Trying to open a business account with these guys was like trying to get blood out of a stone....1st it couldn't link my company details to the companies house and took them 3 days to update...then once done I get integrated for my beauty company.....then when done and tried to pass the identity I had to go into the branch and they told me my water bill will not be accepted....then when I had my broadband bill on phone they said it had to be paper copy so I told them to print it they refused....anyway once I sent the print they took pictures of me and my passport then I was told it will take another 7 days to approve. So I have told them to cancel the whole thing....went to wise account opened with 1 hour. Reviewed on: 14th January 2025

Constant ID reviews.

Constant ID reviews are asked for. No matter how often you send the info. they dont seem to file it away or bother to read it. We have been with them thirty years and still they don’t know who we are. Today yet another review on. Pain of closing the count if we dont send it. Just awful awful customer relations.
