Superb customer service! Thank you!

I've had a mortgage with Bath building society for 15 years . I was made redundant just before Christmas 2011 and was out of work for 3 whole months and couldn't pay the mortgage. When I contacted Bath they were very decent about it and when I did find another job they were flexible about the repayments. Above all they didn't make me feel humiliated like I was begging which I couldn't say for my own bank or other providers. Well done Bath and thank you, your kindness was not forgotten! Application processing unacceptably slow

We made an application for a mortgage on a new purchase in early June 2024. After many delays and several long turnarounds for information provided, we finally received a mortgage offer on 6th September 2024. Unfortunately, we have not bee able to proceed wit the purchase because the vendor died just the week befire the offer was received. It is unusual that delays have such an impact but it is always a risk when every piece of information takes so long to review. In this case, the delay has destroyed the sale and cost all of us considerable time and money. Reviewed on: 30th September 2024
