Affordable annual cover

Affordable annual cover, appears to cover the basics but nothing more. Significant excess and exclusions if I was forced to have to use it, but useful reassurance as a last resort. Reviewed on: 4th September 2024

Shambolic

Coverwise direct me to AXA. AXA direct me to Coverwise.. endless phone calls getting nowhere. What should be a straightforward travel claim has taken so much time I’ve now given up. Opaque process, shockingly poor customer service (if you’re lucky enough to speak to a human, as opposed to an automated response). It’s clear this insurance company make money by having an inadequate claim system which puts customers off from claiming. I will be cancelling our travel insurance policy. What a dire company

I would have given no stars. I have sent every possible piece of paperwork for a claim on my travel insurance. They dont answer emails or phones. Ive sent numerous claims forms for the same claim, still nothing. This has now been 4 months since i originally made the claim. DONT bother with them they are a toal shambles. Impossible to claim

Please don't waste your money! Fantastic customer service when buying or reviewing but as soon as you want to make a claim then it is impossible. I have spent hours on the phone never to be answered, the website constantly shows an error and I have no replies to emails. Absolutely shocking. According to my policy, I should be able to claim a large amount of money back but I have sadly had to accept I have been conned by this company and I will not be getting this back. Never use Coverwise

They may be cheap, but please never ever use Coverwise for travel insurance. They don’t respond to emails, takes hours to get through on the phone only to be cut off, and don’t respond to claims. They are scammers. Reviewed on: 5th October 2022

Disgusting service

I am so disgusted with the service I have received, and am now going down the complaints route to have my issue fully investigated. If you’re thinking of purchasing this policy, DON’T! If you’ve already purchased this policy, it is not impossible to get your full compensation, but unfortunately it takes a considerable amount of time and patience. I finally received my full refund after spending around 20 hours on the phone over the course of the last month. The agents either don’t understand you, or they are pretending to not understand you in order to squeeze as much money from customers as possible. I had to provide my accommodation invoices several times since making my claim at the end of July, despite providing them in the original claim. I was only reimbursed less than 1/3 of my net accommodation cost, and was declined the fair payment due to ‘Dual insurance,’ which was a bold-faced lie as I never once asked for any of the partial refund I had received on my Airbnb prior to making the claim. I don’t know how this company is still operating, as they’re clearly making it as difficult as possible for you to claim - no one answers the phone until 1 hour of being on hold, and the line frequently goes silent at the 30 & 60 mins mark, meaning you have to start again. Travel Insurance for short trip to US

Absolutely dreadful company. On hold for hours at a time and should you be fortunate enough to get an answer after being on hold for over an hour the call drops mysteriously within seconds. They do not respond to emails and rarely answer their phone. No acknowledgement of emails or of evidence presented to support a claim. Not possible to make a claim online as you cannot proceed past the first page.They claim to be underwritten by AXA so I have reported them to AXA, to ActionFraud and to Financial Services. Interestingly the phone numbers on my policy schedule and the one given for claims are not on the Financial Services Register who have given me other numbers to try. I would not recommend this company at all and if it was possible to give zero stars I would have done. Reviewed on: 16th September 2022

Fraud travel insurance company

Waste of money. I was not even able to submit a claim as their claim portal does not work. After talking to customer support, they provided no help and are absolute scammers. They also went back on there policy wording and denied the claim presented. Avoid this company if you do not want to lose your money. Reviewed on: 14th September 2022

This is a fraud. They will not pay legitimate claims. Avoid.

I never post reviews but felt compelled to warn others to avoid Coverwise at all costs. This is a total sham. I have all my documents and the case is about as black & white as possible. All medical docs, covid tests, hotel bills, credit card statements...nothing missing. I very organized, honest and diligent. However, Coverwise & AXA have been dragging my claim out for 8 months now. They keep asking for the same documents over and over, which i guess buys them another month to "review" the documents. Their customer service is appalling and minimum wait time is 1 hour to speak to anyone but leaving that aside, they simply won't make a formal decision or pay. Total nightmare. Claiming on travel insurance

Conmen no other word for then ,avoid like the plague .been trying to claim since June. No one ever answers the phone or realise to emails after countless attempts. Next step citizens advice and ombudsman!!!!!!!! Reviewed on: 12th September 2022
