Always been a good service and I trust the brand

I have been a motor insurance customer with them for years. I will never chose the cheapest of anything, and so in fairness Direct Line is not a price decision, which personally I think is so often a false economy. But I know the customer service is great and I they were great when someone knocked off my painted wing mirror. Reviewed on: 28th July 2018

A short menu and then bang, you speak to a member of staff. They are friendly and professional........and cheap. There's no hidden agenda and they have a great package of extras at good prices. I was very impressed.....and I got a discount for multi car and landlords insurance policies too. Reviewed on: 5th July 2017

Nothing more direct than Direct Line

Direct Line are fantastic, they gave me the cheapest insurance I could find anywhere. They have a fantastic customer service team, from my first call for a quote and everything in between they really are the best. A driver of 6 years, I plan to stay with Direct Line forever!! I have my car insurance with Direct Line. It was really easy to manage my policy online and when I had a number of questions, the customer services were really helpful. I highly recommend rate them and recommend them to all friends and family. Reviewed on: 25th June 2017

worse than bad, just awful

trying to sort out a claim to be told they are trying to contact the assessor, to finally be told 8 weeks later that we not covered under any aspect of the what can only be described as miss-sold insurance. so we are left with huge hold in the ceiling, damage to the curtains, carpet and side unit and various other items after the water from the storm damage caused unprecedented amounts of water and the roof gave in.... in reality the insurance isn't worth the paper its written on and when you need it most, your not covered, you may as well save yourself the premium every year...and have none...the final cost to you is still the same but at least you can put the premium towards the repair costs. They sold my details on and I was hounded by phone calls

It's been three years since I used Direct Line for car insurance. Whilst I had no reason to claim during my time, they sold my details once I had left and to this day, I get at least five phone calls a day from companies about a mysterious car accident that didn't take place.
