Good quality account service

Good consistent service

I have banked with Halifax all my life (39 years) and for the most part they offer quality products and services - the only bad thing I can think of is their high overdraft charges, although I can understand it and are trying to make sure people do not stay in debt for longer than is necessary Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Current Account with extras

I have had a great experience using the Halifax current account. A bonus is paid every month and I can see all my transactions when using the app. Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Appalling customer service

I rang their customer service line to cancel the "ultimate" bank account benefits as I don't use them. After a few months they reinstated the charges. Despite several emails they have still not cancelled the account. Forwarding onto the ombudsman Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Brilliant Local Service

Flexible, local branch with very helpful staff! Most transactions can be done easily and quickly online but the local branch has excellent opening hours including saturday mornings. Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Room for improvement

I switched to Halifax from Natwest a few years ago and must say for me Natwest was the better bank. In my opinion theres nothing overly terrible about Halifax , there have been a few occasions whereby the staff have not been so helpful. From the experience I have had with theres no reason why would recommend Halifax to friends/family as for me it is very average. Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

CURRENTly Happy!

In the last two years since banking with the Halifax, I can honestly say that I’m completely satisfied and I’ve had no problems whatsoever. I mostly bank online and the site is very easy to use-from transfers to statements it’s super simple to manage. And occasionally I do go into a branch and again, I’ve had exceptional service each time I’ve visited. Really I cannot find fault and highly recommend The Halifax. Reviewed on: 7th November 2018
