Friendly staff, good perks

Does what it must

Inadequate security

I'm been a Halifax customer for some time, but in the last year I've noticed significant security issues with their banking offering and would strongly recommend using other providers. - I had a significant amount of money taken from my account via a number of transactions in under 24 hours which they failed to alert me to / check if it was fraud (it was). In the same period a loan was also opened, again, at no point did they contract me to check my ID or check it was not fraud. - Incorrectly sent out new card and pin numbers which I did not request - Sent new bank card to the wrong address (an old one which I'd changed months ago with them). - Failed to update my phone number when I changed phones, resulting in an old number still being incorrectly sent my balances, payments etc. Their systems are a not adequate for protecting peoples money or savings. Effortless

I have been banking with Halifax for over fifteen years. Their overall customer service is excellent and i have never had any complaints. The staff in branch are friendly and do their utmost to help should you need it. Reviewed on: 20th November 2017

Customer focused

In the 2 years I have held my current account with Halifax I have come to learn how a bank should deal with customers. I feel valued and Halifax have been very active in contacting me to ensure I am getting the services and products I need. Reviewed on: 17th November 2017

Quick and Easy

The bank account is easy to keep track of with the very user friendly mobile app. Transfers between accounts and quick and easy and payments made in shops by PIN or contactless show up in the bank account immediately. On top of that you can activate your card for cashback benefits at lost of food/clothing stores. Would definitely recommend this bank account! Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

I love the Cashback extras and friendly service

I moved from another bank to Halifax and the difference between the two is stark. The service is always friendly and as a bonus I get some great cashback deals every month. Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

Good account, good reward

Decent overdraft limit and charges, functions well. Bit of a shame they reduced the monthly reward from £5 to £3 but other than that it's a good account Reviewed on: 15th November 2017
