Simple and Clear Banking

I have banked with Halifax for a number of years now and always found them a friendly local bank like all banks where as I was growing up. I have found that at the branch the staff are friendly and helpful and the current account offers a range of additional benefits to it's customers. Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

Poor service & two many branches closing

Two of my local branches have closed in Alton and godalming in last month and no branch in 20 miles now. Poor online service often down and would rather they spend more money on staff and new branches then paying millions for Top cat and flintstones adds which is a complete waste of money. Loan offer 17.9 Apr then got at Zopa for 3.6. If I could rate them below a star I would. Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

Massive charges

I incurred a huge amount of charges following the bank changing my account type without notifying me. They refunded £100 of these but not the other £700. This was all in 1 month. I swiftly changed banks afterwards. Reviewed on: 18th May 2017

Easy to use account and excellent customer services

I walked into my local Halifax and had my account set up and ready to go in less than an hour. The person setting up my account was very welcoming, offering me a drink etc and explained every step of the process. She also set up my mobile banking app while I was there and explained how this and the online account worked. I came out feeling really confident in my decision to choose Halifax for my current account. Both the mobile and online banking systems are very quick and simple to use. Great!

Amazing service! When I have not authorised payments they get them returned within 24 hours. The least greedy bank I have used and fast incoming payments. Always helpful and friendly customer service. Will never switch to another bank. Reviewed on: 10th May 2017

Halifax is simple!

I started banking with Halifax back in 2007 when I opened a student account. They offer a £3000 interest free overdraft over the 3 years. After this you change to a current account and have 6 years before being charged for your overdraft. I couldn't have survived uni without this. With the current accont I have a contactless card which is so easy and online banking which I find wonderful, especially the app. I enccourage everyone with ban problems to change to Halifax Reviewed on: 8th May 2017

Be in charge of your finances

Most of the time I can get on line check my balance, direct debits and messages. If I could use the website every time the score would have been 5* but I have awarded it 4* because it has let me down a couple of times Reviewed on: 2nd May 2017
