Review of Halifax Reward Current Account

The fifty pounds interest free is good. However the pound a day authorised overdraft charge , if overdrawn the whole month , is alot, too much- it should be capped at 25 pounds a month - isn't 25 pounds a month enough to charge? Reviewed on: 6th February 2017

Consistent good service

I've always received excellent customer service whenever I have needed their help. When I detected unauthorised use of my debit card, it was resolved with one phone call. When I have had reason to be annoyed (which is rare), responsibility has been taken and the problem addressed instantly. I am happy with my bank. Reviewed on: 6th February 2017

Nice and easy to leave

Wanted to close my old current account that I didn't need anymore. Took less than 5 minutes to close and transfer my money to my new account. Staff were really nice and friendly. Reviewed on: 4th February 2017

OK - Generally

Generally Halifax are OK. They are reliable, charges are reasonable and rates OK. They will sting you for foreign charges though. Also their IT security isn't as good as it could be. Reviewed on: 4th February 2017

Current account rewards

I love the halifax rewards account. It gives me piece of mind with car breakdown, mobile insurance and holiday insurance for all my family. The small monthly payments we could all do without yet are highly important. Its 1 monthly payment and inam covered. So much easier and convenient Reviewed on: 3rd February 2017

Lost all mine and daughters details

I wanted to set up an account for my 1 year old. They told me to do it online and come back to verify her and myself with birth certificates, passports etc. Did that. Went to see why I hadn't been updated on the progress to find out they had LOST all our info including photo copies of our verifications. Appalling Reviewed on: 1st February 2017
