A pilot light on the control unit/thermostat isn't working. This was reported some time ago. Nothing has been done about it by Homeprotect. This has been reported before, but nobody at Homeproytect reads these reviews and takes any notice. Therefore, from my perspective these reviews are a complete waste of time. Poor experience when I called about rain damage to roof causing interior damage. Was informed that on the day I had estimated the damage ( it had rained for days so difficult to be exact), the total daily millimetres for my area was insufficient for a claim! Not impressed. Easy to renew

This year we were renewing our policy. So my real experience was last year when we took out the policy. Homeprotect were very helpful and answered our queries. Reviewed on: 15th December 2025

Great if you run a business from home

It can be hard to find an insurance provider which will cover you if you run a business from home which involves the public coming to your house. Homeprotect are perfect in this situation. Reviewed on: 11th December 2025

Really friendly and efficient customer care

Really friendly and efficient customer care on your helpline. I rang several times to update my renewal this year and received consistently excellent service. Also Hoeprotect offers good value on a homeworking policy which I need for my business. Reviewed on: 8th December 2025
