Rather unprofessional

2
I have been a Post Office credit card holder for years. I use it mostly during frequent trips to France as it is fee free for abroad use. I have always paid the full balance every month by direct debit. I received an email from PO stating credit card business had been sold to Ja Ja (who?). I was told to keep using card as normal which I did with no problems. What bothered me was lack of communication & information about the change. More recently I received an email from Ja Ja stating that if I paid by dd then no action was required. I was told new app was ready so I put it on my iPad & registered no problem. Last payment under Post Office name was taken in September Full balance paid off as usual. The first payment with Ja Ja on my dd in October only took out £17 despite a balance of over £1000. It also stated on the app that minimum payment on due on Nov 17 would be £18. It appeared that Ja Ja was possibly intending to take just minimum payments & then charge interest although no interest charges are showing on the app at the moment. I rang their customer services. I got through no problem but the automated voice was muffled & difficult to understand & I was somewhat bothered by the attitude of the individual I spoke to. He acted as if he did not really know the job. I told him that only a minimum payment had been taken & not the full amount. He just agreed with me but did not offer a solution. I told him I was not really happy with this & he just agreed with me. There was no real point in continuing the conversation & I told him I was thinking of closing my account & he just said ok. He told me I needed to ring another number to do that. There was no attempt resolve any of the issues I had raised. So I decided to cancel my direct debit as I no longer trusted Ja Ja to have access to my bank account & to pay my balance with my debit card. The app offered facilities for debit card payment but when I attempted it I just got a sign stating that this payment facility is unavailable. So I decided to pay by bank transfer. The app offered this & gave their sort code & acc no & required my credit card number as reference. I successfully did the bank transfer & cleared my balance. 3 days later & the app still shows the balance as owing. I rang customer service again. At least the operative confirmed that payment had been received but could offer no explanation as to why the app had not updated. The sum total of all that in my view comes across as an overall unprofessional setup which does not give me confidence to use so I will not be using them again. I suppose it matters little whether I close the account or not as I am now square with them. Direct debit is cancelled & I shall no longer use the card. Reviewed on: 13th November 2020

Worst experience - WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND

1
If I could give 0 stars I would. I was told that my credit card was moving from post office to JaJa way over a month ago and I am still unable to access my account. I have called 6 times and I have been told various different reasons as to why I cannot access my account, I have been promised a call back twice and I have also escalated my issue to the complaints team and I have still heard nothing! I am currently pregnant and the stress this is causing me is is so unfair! I am waiting for a statement, going to pay off this credit card and cut it up! Absolutely terrible service, would never ever in a million years recommend! Reviewed on: 10th November 2020

Poor if any security

1
After months of being told my Post Office card was being transferred to the new "Start UP" I received an email welcoming me to Jaja. They obviously now have all my personal details as they emailed me. But they wanted me to complete a new on line registration and so asked me to enter all my, personal, banking and credit card details over an open Internet connection. I do not even enter my basic card details into the web when making purchases, I will only use PayPal for on line transaction. Phoned them and eventually spoke to an operative and he said that is the way they do business for security, checking all my details. So am closing my account with Jaja. Worse and Worse.

My PO Card personal details passed to a new, start up company without my permission. Is that allowed under Data Protection rules? JaJa= 'Yeah,Yeah'. PO and AA card business bought for £530 million from Bank of Ireland by a Norwegian group. Not been operating long but the CEO just stood down. Hope I get my overpayment back before it goes bust. Don't feel it has much of a long life. Trust Pilot reviews show more detail. Update 11th November. Been waiting for nine days for £569.69 (paid the bill twice) overpayment to be reimbursed. PO Card was only used for foreign travel but if it doesn't appear by 13th I'll run it off on household expenses before giving it the scissor treatment. Feel a bit concerned that JaJa may go TaTa if I wait too long. Reviewed on: 6th November 2020

Worst company I have ever dealt with.

1
JaJa is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. My post office account was transferred - and I have had nothing but trouble since. The website didn’t work, JaJa have therefore owed me money for 10 days. I have spent endless hours on hold, in phone queues, being given other numbers to ring - some of which were unobtainable. The on hold noise is awful static, scratchy, headache inducing, discordant, an awful thing to be forced to endure for hours and hours, day after day. Today I was told that customer service cannot send me an email because they have no email facility or address...... and it could be yet another 10 days until the money they owe me is back in my account. That will be 20 working days - IF it actually does happen then. Disgusting. Reviewed on: 2nd November 2020

Utterly dreadful

1
Can only assume that this company has provided no training at all for staff. I got moved from the post office to this company and after fighting with the supposed brilliant app I decided to close my account. 4 weeks later and 3 calls I now have 3 cards arrive, still noT closed And apparently everyone I speak to is not authorised to do anything!!!!! should be called haha as they are an absolute joke

1
Avoid this place like the plague. they don't send statements then charge you a fee for late payment. Impossible to get through on the phone, and when you get through no help at all. Reviewed on: 31st October 2020

Is this a training site for new credit card operatives?

2
Forced to use JaJa (does that really sound like a professional name for a card dealing with finances?) after Post office bailed out from BoI. Utterly useless apart from one operative who we finally got to speak to and who dealt with our problem...others sounded like they were reading from training manuals, were hard to understand, treated us as idiots etc. Their security system for trying to access your account is flawed, it requires inputting a 4 figure number sent to your phone - you are allowed 30 seconds...but then your number doesn’t arrive for 20 seconds - don’t make a mistake!! We ended up losing our security clearance until their one operative who knew what she was doing sorted it out and got them a second star. Best of luck. P.S....they do always say they’re sorry!
