Surreal

Had PO credit card for years, low interest and fee free overseas. This was a MasterCard and the assurance was that TC would be honoured.Having had serious issues with Barclaycard buying up credit card account,I cleared the entire P.O. card balance before the takeover. I have been able to log in the app and have a card but......I won't be using it.It's now Visa so that's a change,my interest rate has gone up (apparently they have sectioned off PO customers into different levels/areas).I read the TC on the app and it seems the fee free overseas is not a certainty. I don't know what the advantages of this card are. The app selling point has been overtaken by others and there has been no effort to try and provide reasons to have the card. The stories online are disturbing,I can't see how easy it will be for a company to recover from such negativity. I have cancelled my P.O. direct debit and not opened one for Jaja. The card is unactivated in a drawer. Reading the company background online is quite interesting. In sum I won't be using it and my very best wishes to those enmeshed in this chaos.I hope the Ombudsman will be of some help. Reviewed on: 26th November 2020

A really poor service

1
I have been a happy PO customer for many years but since the change to Jaja I have not been able to log into my account where it won't accept my credentials, the customer service is simply awful with unacceptable wait times and their telephony system keeps cutting you off. I have no confidence in this company and cannot wait to cancel my credit card if only I could get through to someone to deal with this. Why would anyone want to deal with a company that has zero customer service? Reviewed on: 25th November 2020

I made a payment on jaja app and it displayed a message saying this payment has not been successful. I tried again and the payment was not taken . I logged into my current account and realised that jaja took double payment for a totals of £ 775 on 30th October. I have been in contact with your customer service team several times, and every time I was told that the extra payment would be refunded to my current account. After 20 days , no payment has been transferred. I am now £387.55 out of pocket and jaja is not taken my financial difficulties into account. The business is not behaving fairly, the communication from your customer service lack of knowledge , your staff is not trained to assist your customers, as well as long waiting time to get through an agent , the lines are extremely busy. I have been lost out financially, and you are not looking to put me back in the position I would have been if you had not taken the extra money I got to pay for my monthly living costs, this means that I am experiencing reduced living standards due to the impact that jaja business’s mistake is having on me. Your business mistake is causing financial loss and material inconvenience, as well and emotionally distress. I will definitely refer my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). This is a regulated business that shouldn’t be operating in the UK ,they are breaching the rules and committing market abuse. PLEASE AVOID IT . Reviewed on: 20th November 2020

Pity I cannot award zero stars - useless!!!!!

Existing Post Office credit card holder, required to re-register in order to use Java. Registration process falls over on PC. Works to a point on iPad. Final button to complete registration produces a message “this service is not currently available, please try again later.” Would I trust this lot with my money on this basis? Absolutely not! Post Office or Jaja? Nobody knows!

1
In July 2020 we tried to pay our Post Office credit card account. We couldn't. Had to go through Jaja. "We're nearly ready to go" emails coming in. Could not access the new Jaja app. Could not get a statement from either post office or Jaja. After many lengthy phone calls still nothing. No app, no statement, no new card, no use, no where! 7th November 2020 received the statement from Jaja. Great, paid. Happy days. Oh hang on a minute, 9th November £12.00 late payment fee! More lengthy phone calls. Paid off and cancelled account. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS CREDIT CARD. You're welcome. Reviewed on: 16th November 2020

JaJa are a shambles ... don't get involved.

JaJa 'customer service' are useless, don't solve any problems, just hollow promises. Tried for over 4 hours in total on the phone to cancel my card and close my account, ended up with the 'lost and stolen' department, they said they would send a letter and email to confirm my account was closed. Still waiting after 2 weeks for that. I've stopped my direct debit. Don't trust them. Why oh why did the excellent Post Office card sell out to this useless lot ? The FCA should shut them down. Inaccessible, unhelpful and now locked out of my card

As a long time PO CC holder I have enjoyed excellent service for nearly 10 years. Spending most of my time overseas, the cards utility for overseas transactions has been a huge part of my financial planning. JAJA will not recognise my credentials, so I cannot log on to my account and their "helpline" is anything but helpful! Most recently, I apparently failed a security answer check on one such conversation with a customer service agent (probably because I have no account access!!??), they didn't tell me this however but promptly blocked my card for 'security reasons'. I have now been waiting for 7 days for the "Specialist Team" to contact me to unlock my card - it is a total disaster, and incompetence on a scale I have never before seen with a CC company! Terrible! Reviewed on: 16th November 2020

Rather unprofessional

I have been a Post Office credit card holder for years. I use it mostly during frequent trips to France as it is fee free for abroad use. I have always paid the full balance every month by direct debit. I received an email from PO stating credit card business had been sold to Ja Ja (who?). I was told to keep using card as normal which I did with no problems. What bothered me was lack of communication & information about the change. More recently I received an email from Ja Ja stating that if I paid by dd then no action was required. I was told new app was ready so I put it on my iPad & registered no problem. Last payment under Post Office name was taken in September Full balance paid off as usual. The first payment with Ja Ja on my dd in October only took out £17 despite a balance of over £1000. It also stated on the app that minimum payment on due on Nov 17 would be £18. It appeared that Ja Ja was possibly intending to take just minimum payments & then charge interest although no interest charges are showing on the app at the moment. I rang their customer services. I got through no problem but the automated voice was muffled & difficult to understand & I was somewhat bothered by the attitude of the individual I spoke to. He acted as if he did not really know the job. I told him that only a minimum payment had been taken & not the full amount. He just agreed with me but did not offer a solution. I told him I was not really happy with this & he just agreed with me. There was no real point in continuing the conversation & I told him I was thinking of closing my account & he just said ok. He told me I needed to ring another number to do that. There was no attempt resolve any of the issues I had raised. So I decided to cancel my direct debit as I no longer trusted Ja Ja to have access to my bank account & to pay my balance with my debit card. The app offered facilities for debit card payment but when I attempted it I just got a sign stating that this payment facility is unavailable. So I decided to pay by bank transfer. The app offered this & gave their sort code & acc no & required my credit card number as reference. I successfully did the bank transfer & cleared my balance. 3 days later & the app still shows the balance as owing. I rang customer service again. At least the operative confirmed that payment had been received but could offer no explanation as to why the app had not updated. The sum total of all that in my view comes across as an overall unprofessional setup which does not give me confidence to use so I will not be using them again. I suppose it matters little whether I close the account or not as I am now square with them. Direct debit is cancelled & I shall no longer use the card. Reviewed on: 13th November 2020
