Good if you understand how it works

This is a pretty golden account, but you need to understand how it works to get the max benefits from it - key points are 1 - Must pay in £1500 a month for it to be free - probably not the best account if you're prepared to pay 2 - Interest rate of 4% is very good - but again, you'll only get this if the balance is between £4,000 to £5,000 - funny thing is you don't get any interest on money above the £5,000...so stay below this! The tedious check that I am making a genuine payment...

The tedious check that I am making a genuine payment gets ridiculous. The "I" in A.I. seems to stand for "Ignorance" rather than "Intelligence" especially when Lloyds thinks it could be suspicious/dangerous for me to transfer money from my Lloyds Current Account to my Lloyds Savings Account; or indeed businesses that I have paid regularly for years.. As for branch service - a recent re-fit removed the clock and provided four teller stations. I always expect a queue and I borrow a chair or ask another customer to hold my place as there are normally only two stations manned, one of which has a non-customer with a complicated query that takes at least 30 minutes (which I guess is why the clock was removed!) Feeling the love for Club Lloyds Current Account

I love the Club Lloyds Current Account as it gives me interest on up to £5k and I also receive an annual benefit. I choose 6 Odeon Cinema tickets which saves me at least£90. It also opens the door for higher savings rates . Great account all round Reviewed on: 4th April 2025
