Best bank Best service

Take Ownership of Issues

You don't know how good or bad a bank is until there is an issue. With Metro bank you can just go into a branch and one of their staff members will take charge of your issue. I had an issue when I decided Metro bank would be my main account so the switching process wasn't straight forward. The actual switch took a month however the Metro bank staff member I first spoke to took ownership of my problem and worked to resolve it. He then turned around to ask me why I wasn't cross with Metro bank. I pointed out I left my own current account provider, a building society, because no staff would take ownership to resolve issues. Likewise I love the fact that if my card stops working as it is worn out I can go into a store and get a new one, rather than risk it being stolen in the post. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

A Bank that Delivers

It is such a great feeling visiting Metrobank along with my pooch knowing that we can both have some of our home comforts such as welcoming my pooch as starters, we can help ourselves with some treats, a sofa where we can chill for a bit before making our way to the counter and a toilet where I can relieve myself when needed plus it is truky unique as they don't operate on a usual.9 to 5 business which means flexibility in all manners. Amazing Service

Amazing service I’ve been with metro for few years now. I opened my account in the Wood Green branch. I Never had a problem and even if I have they have dealt with it fast and effectively. The staff from there is really helpful and polite. The branch itself is clean and tidy. The phone app is also easy to use and keeps good track of your account. I can highly recommend this bank. Great bank

Once you've Metrobank(ed), you'll never go back

With my previous bank, making transfers on their app was often so difficult it was easier to get to a branch, queue and then complete the transfer via a bank teller. With Metro Bank I can set up a savings account, effect bank transfers and make payments on my phone or iPad. Both use the phone's security features with either my face or my finger. Even lack of attention for a short period of time turns the app off requiring a new sign in. This would be a pain (the password is brutal) but with face recognition it's not so problematic. Having said all of this, on occasion, when I've set up new payments or paid a large sum to a new or old payee the bank sends me a text or an email asking me to call to confirm the payment. So I still feel looked after. And even if all of this is a problem there is an actual physical bank in town. Not super local, but easily accessible. Cannot see myself ever going back to the traditional 'high street' banks. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Nothing is a problem

they are always ready to help, either in person on the local branch or over the phone, the customer service is excellent. I had no issues with metro bank at all. I liked the offer of using your debit card in europe and no charge was made. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

Easy, efficient and open 7 days a week

Originally this was used because of the 7day week opening but it has proven to be very convenient in other ways. During COVID 19 we had to shield for over 12 months and the ease of opening new accounts online and all our banking needs has been excellent. Reviewed on: 12th April 2021
