The bank fails to provide straightforward, automatic...

The bank fails to provide straightforward, automatic bank statements, making necessary accounting and professional documentation a "painful process" and creating unnecessary administrative work. The experience was so frustrating that they deleted the app and are moving their business finances to a different bank, warning others not to rely on Monzo for professional use. DO NOT USE FOR BUSINESS BANKING

I would not recommend anyone to use Monzo as a Business Banking account. I opened one up 2 months ago as the online business banking company I currently use have started adding extra charges. I hadn’t got around to transferring everything over yet with direct debits, standing orders and my card machine companies for taking payments as I just hadn’t the time. I scheduled time to do this next week as the charges from my current on are grating on me now. I had my personal Monzo card stolen on holiday last week and reported it and ordered a new card. I have now had an email to say they are closing down my business account but can not tell me why. I am so glad I hadn’t spent not spent the time transferring everything over yet. There is absolutely no reason for them to close this account, it is so bizarre and weird to me, I don’t understand at all. Had I of switched everything over and been fully utilising them for 2 months and got this, it would of caused me so much stress and anxiety to switch everything over again with no reason or explanation as to why. I’d stay well clear if they can just shut an account like that for no reason other than reporting your personal card being stolen, which I froze straight away when I realised. I’ve been using Monzo Business for two separate companies, each with its own dedicated account, and the experience has been excellent across the board. • The app is quick, clear, and easy to navigate - switching between the two accounts is seamless. • Payments in and out are fast, with real-time notifications keeping everything on track. • I’ve found the accounting integrations (like Xero and QuickBooks) smooth and helpful for keeping things tidy. • Being able to create and send invoices directly from the app has saved time, especially for smaller one-off jobs. • Customer support is responsive and helpful when needed - you’re not left waiting days for a reply. It’s made managing both businesses far easier than the old-school banking alternatives I was using before. Monzo is a breath of fresh air in the banking space!

I have loved being a Monzo customer due to their fantastic customer service, their playful initiatives, and their transparency around financial literacy. As someone that was never taught how to save, or how to be financially responsible, I really appreciate how easy Monzo makes banking and it seems like a fantastic company to work for and be part of (I regularly check their job boards!). This is my favourite bank!

This is my favourite bank! Their customer support is excellent and they have cleverly helped me with 4 different fraud cases! They have refunded me for theft as well. I am Highly satisfied and closed accounts in other banks. I highly recommend them! Reviewed on: 13th June 2025

Monzo was the only choice I would make

From the beginning of my journey Monzo has been present. So it was natural for me to want to have my business account registered with them. I am a disabled founder and every time I use my account, features, or log in via the web browser, I am reminded that they are doing a far better job to support me than most other banks.
