The. Best. Overdraft/Loan. Experience. Ever!

Already a fan of Monzo the experience from the angle of managing my overdraft and its usage, right down to the clarity of how its Loans are presented and booked into - it’s just second to none. Nothing is pushed on you and the terms are clear and fair. Moreover as a Premium user I love how my credit score shows up in the app - with a monthly update reminder that highlights the causes for any drop or increase. This is excellent and a great awareness grower for those using credit. In fact it has motivated me to stay out of my OD. Hats off Monzo! Reviewed on: 14th June 2021

Incredibly good; not perfect

I've had a really good experience with Monzo so far, using their current account for the last year or so. In my opinion, Monzo shines through a few things - their modern approach to banking, funny and informative social media, and ease of use. I say modern, because I don't know many other banks that have some, and definitely not all, of the following: Running Splits; Split the Bill; sending and receiving money through links/QR codes; relevant and useful cashbacks; no fees overseas; instant card freezing; undo payments; automatic sorting into pots; and more. Their social media team is brilliant - providing insights into new updates and what they're working on, but having fun with it - it feels human, which pure corporate-ness really lacks. Ease of use because they have an incredibly slick UI (their app looks and feels smooth to use), things are mostly where they should be, you have plenty of customisation to your homescreen in the app, and a lot of it just makes SENSE! However, it's not perfect. For the most part, getting in touch with customer service is APPALLING, and that's if you can even find the button to call them. Their 'we're not calling you' feature doesn't always work (and in my experience it generally hasn't), their customisation is a little annoying - and you can't get rid of everything and make it truly yours (their 'suggested actions' stays regardless). Their savings rates are truly below average, and some of their features are locked behind paywalls, which they constantly remind you about. That said, I do love Monzo. Switching was easy, once I did get through to customer service, they were very helpful, and I don't see any other bank being half as good as this one is. Reviewed on: 21st February 2026

Amazing!

Monzo it's not only a super stylish app but really convenient for splitting bills, requesting money and transfering really easily. I really love getting notifications when money comes in or goes out, it really helps me track my spending. Recommend! Reviewed on: 20th February 2026

Monzo, the best bank in the world.

I love and am a massive advocate for Monzo. Through Monzo I have saved the most money I have ever had, and improved my credit rating. It has helped me so much with finance and budgeting. I am shocked with how incredible this bank is. It has improved my quality of life by the dozen and more. Reviewed on: 20th February 2026

Forward thinking modern banking

Never had a problem with Monzo but it's more than that, they have really forward thinking approach. I particularly love bill spilt and running split functions. The cashback offers aren't just token ones like most banks, they're often for places we actually use! I used to be with Lloyds and all the cashback offers were for places you'd never heard of and you had to jump through hoops to use it. Monzo make it all really simple. No fees abroad is fantastic too. You'd think this would be standard now but a lot of banks it's not.
