Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. Making money for nothing

On The Ball

I recently had an attempt to fraudulently take money from my account. Fortunately it was flagged by Santander as an unusual transaction on my account and I was contacted. The only thing was, I was rung on my mobile and refused to believe that the person on the phone wasn't a fraudster and refused to speak to them I went home and rang them back from my landline. I was able to confirm the transaction wasn't mine. Scary moment but they handled it well and I was pleased. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2019

Good experience with Santander
