Great mortgage products for older people, including retired

My husband and I are in our 60s and had to re-locate to a more expensive area. We needed a mortgage to purchase a new property but some banks would only lend for a maximum of five years, meaning huge monthly mortgage re-payments. The Family Building Society agreed an Offset Mortgage for a 25 year period, which is perfect for our needs. The mortgage adviser, Peter Cook, was exceptionally helpful in explaining the options available. Reviewed on: 15th December 2023

Mortgages for older borrowers

Mortgage Title Changes

Just in the process of changing names on mortgage, wasn't sure where to start with it but Serena got the ball rolling with the process and required information needed, very friendly and chatty and informative, I know what to do going forward, I highly recommend, when my current deal is up I'll be remortgaging. Very good for older people

Very happy with the Customer service which is second to none
