Excellent Briefing Rescues Client

With my mortgage product coming to its end in March, i selected another product in January but then failed to provide written confirmation. On phoning FBS today, I discovered my selection was no longer available. But, the FBS agent I spoke with (Serena) led me by the hand through options available, I made my selection, and the show was back on the road. Quick helpful responses

Trying to buy your first home is really stressful. My parents are dying to help and this is the best building society for that! First off they are great with the age limit of the oldest applicant where other banks are very dismissive. Ed who I spoke with when trying to make my choices and see what would be viable came back with what would be possible and explained it clearly before I started handing over any application fees. Exceptional customer service

I rang new business to sort out my new mortgage deal, Mia was exceptional, even though she was not feeling well she was patient and understanding of my need to get this sorted. I am 73 yrs old and not very computer savvy but she was extremely patient and talked me through the process to a great end result for me . Great mortgage products for older people, including retired

My husband and I are in our 60s and had to re-locate to a more expensive area. We needed a mortgage to purchase a new property but some banks would only lend for a maximum of five years, meaning huge monthly mortgage re-payments. The Family Building Society agreed an Offset Mortgage for a 25 year period, which is perfect for our needs. The mortgage adviser, Peter Cook, was exceptionally helpful in explaining the options available. Reviewed on: 15th December 2023

Mortgages for older borrowers

Getting a mortgage in later life for whatever reason, can be a nightmare. It is worrying and can be very stressful. The Family Building Society understands that life is not always simple and is sympathetic to older people.It listens is always polite and considerate. Reviewed on: 14th December 2023

Mortgage Title Changes

Just in the process of changing names on mortgage, wasn't sure where to start with it but Serena got the ball rolling with the process and required information needed, very friendly and chatty and informative, I know what to do going forward, I highly recommend, when my current deal is up I'll be remortgaging.
