FBS BTL MORTGAGE

Well Deserved

Before joining the Family Building Society I had previous experience with others where I was treated by most as just a Computer number. From the day I joined the FBS I knew it was the right choice I have been with them several years for my Mortgage and Savings accounts. On occasions when I needed help with something, the Management and staff on each and every occasion have been helpful, friendly and polite. Their high standards have never dropped. So, in conclusion I would just say, anyone thinking of changing their present Building Society then look no further. You will wonder why you have waited so long.I believe any review should be Honest,Fair and Unbiased and I have tried to be just that. Ron Davis. A member of the Family. Paul Roberts

Paul always gives fantastic service. Answers the phone on nearly all occasions and always calls back when he is not able to answer. Paul is always able to give an idea as to whether an application can be put forward on the initial call and is there if you need help throughout the application process. Super service

I rarely leave reviews, but on this case I felt compelled to. Linda on the new business team was by far the most helpful person I’ve ever interacted with at a financial institution. At the 11th hour our mortgage offer was due to expire because our solicitor somehow failed to submit the required documents by the underwriter’s deadline. It was only thanks to Linda’s sustained efforts, which was quite frankly above and beyond anything I’ve experienced from a bank or building society, that the mortgage was finally processed with hours to go. A Ghost Mortgage !!

Over the last 5 months FBS have me listed as not having paid a mortgage on a property I don't own and have never lived in.. You can imagine how that appears to the various credit reference agencies. My rating having tumbled from 999 (Yes, us mortals can achieve such a score) to around the 600 mark and getting lower every month. I write to Experian and to Clear Score etc. and I also write to FBS and I receive apologies and they confirm it is their error but nothing happens. The next month it still appears on my record and my financial reputation suffers even more. So, throuhgh no fault of my own, FBS, who overall seem like a very nice company are ruining me through their incompetance. I genuinley would love to say I'm happy and I would recommend them because my experience with the mortgage I do have with them has been nothing but exemplary. But who needs the shadow of a ghost mortgage following them around. Please FBS - Do something about it. Don't just apologise. Reviewed on: 15th September 2022

Mortage product advice

Called into Richard at FBS sit was time to renew rates on my existing mortgage. Very helpful and courteous and had all my questions answered promptly. Minimal time on hold. Wish all telephone service these days could be so good. Reviewed on: 5th September 2022
