No fuss ISAs

I was fed up with banks changing the ISA rate after the initial year and giving derisory rates. It was such a fiddle to change the provider. The Family Building Society market tracker ISA gives a reasonable rate and saves constantly swapping around. You could get a slightly better rate if you are inclined to shop around, but there's not much in it. ( Disclosure: I also do some work for the FBS.) Reviewed on: 20th December 2017

Transferring money.

i WAS UNABLE TO TRANSFER AN AMOUNT FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER. i PHONED FBS AND ME REQUEST WAS CARRIED OUT TO MY SATISFACTION. Reviewed on: 15th October 2025

I am treated as a valued customer in the Branch .

I am treated as a valued customer in the Branch which is unheard of in a Bank today. I do business with several Banks and I am ALWAYS made to feel a nuisance for not using the internet to carry out any transactions. Family Building Society make it clear that help in-branch is always an option and I value the face to face availability at times. My husband feels the same.. Reviewed on: 13th October 2025

Too busy !

Too busy to answer phone, too busy to answer emails, too busy to deal with enquiry, will try and get back to you in about 4 days ! Could not get details or application enquiry off the website. This was an active investment enquiry ! Reviewed on: 10th October 2025
