Matured Bond

Encouraged to use online service. Used the service to give bond maturity instructions. Received an email confirming receipt. Maturity date came and went and nothing happened. Eventually spoke to a human who said that they hadn’t received instructions!! Assured me that it would be dealt with immediately. Nothing happened!! Sent two emails today and got an automated reply to say they were very busy!! Still awaiting return of my investment. I was initially going to re-invest but have lost all confidence in this institution - very unimpressed! Reviewed on: 6th June 2025

Great Customer Service for savings

I had a query about opening a new savings account so rang Customer Service. Amazed to be put through very quickly. My query was dealt with by Aimee in a very efficient and friendly way. Family Building Society was a "no brainer" .

Set up Family Building Society account yesterday, was very easy to follow instructions. The first deposit of £100 immediately showed up on my new account which was very reassuring , just used my bank card. Once I had been verified and sent the secure code which was emailed to me, all account features were available including withdrawing money. Really impressed with the security checks as I don't want anyone else to get my money! Have transferred most of current account money , even "rainy day money" as my bank only offers 0.1% on my current account. So being with the Family Building Society is a "no brainer" at 5.04%! Had a query today and requested a "call back" and Jacob rang me a few hours later, brilliant customer service. I can't even ring my bank these days.
