the Insurance Emporium there is no issues

When dealing with the Insurance Emporium there is no issues with covering the costs of our dog Jack's treatment. Which is not the most expensive but we know it is genuinely covered. Reviewed on: 10th July 2024

Constantly pester you to leave a review

The actual process of getting pet insurance, which I did through a comparison site was pain free and easy to do. I've not had to claim on the pet insurance thankfully yet, so my views are purely on the application process. However, what kind of annoys me is the constant asking to leave a review. I dont really usually like to do that when I've not used a service, but I must have had 3 reminders at least in the past two weeks. The Insurance Emporium could probably do better than to wind up it's customers straight after buying a product. Maybe a reminder a few months down the line, but it felt like pestering. Quick settlement

My dog had to have a lump removed from the inside of her eye lid so had to make a claim which was settled very quickly Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Good Value Insurancr

So helpful and such a competitive price, much less than my previous insurance company and for the same cover. I insured 2 dogs for less than the cover i paid for one dog. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Excellent service

Claims Payment.

Overall pay out time was very disappointing. After phoning several times and being told a cheque had been raised and was asked if I'd prefer a BACS transfer, I changed it to a BACS transfer which took 2 weeks to arrive in my account. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

If we are not in receipt of bank details at the time of a claim, we do issue cheques, however this process does take longer than if we have BACS details provided. Once BACS details are provided, the payments should go through in 3-5 working days dependant on the receiving account, If you would like us to investigate why your payment took longer than expected, please contact us. No assistance

No help when I really needed it - the last thing I want to think about it arguing my claim and jumping through hoops when my dog is in surgery! Reviewed on: 28th September 2023

Cheaper premiums for the same protection. Got 5 dogs insured, so the cost is very important to enable continuation of cover. Reviewed on: 26th September 2023

Didn't tell me I needed full leg X rays

With the first horse I wasn't told at all I needed X rays as he was 10k, found it in an email send way after cover started and then the same with the next horse also 10k. Now they're saying I need X rays. If they were clear to their customers, obviously x rays are something you'd get before you buy the horse incase there's something on the X rays. Ridiculous that if my horse was £9999 I wouldn't need X rays. Both quotes were over the phone and I was told both times I just need to send my 5 stage vetting. It is correct that we would require x rays for horses where the sum insured is more than £10,000. This is stated on our website in our frequently asked questions as below; A 5 stage vet certificate is required for all horses valued at £5,000 or more. The certificate must be no more than 2 months old. If the horse is unbroken, a 2 stage vet certificate may be supplied instead. If the horse is valued at £10,000 or more, in addition to a 5 stage vet certificate, we also require x-rays of the forefeet, fetlocks and hocks, no more than 2 months old.
