I went on compare the meerkat for new van insurance and clicked what I thought was a good deal. Got this circus who then went through everything I had just put in already then quoted me £1300 when I paid £680 the year before. I then said no and was told I had to speak to someone from technical ??? However never got to as the customer service’s constantly hang up on you. I thought getting insurance should not be this hard then abandoned it and went onto a competitor company direct and got it for £500 cheaper with more perks. From now on I will just ring companies direct as a broker web sight to then put you onto a broker all adding their bits on ???? Reviewed on: 16th May 2023

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I paid for a policy online, Vanline Direct then emailed asking me to call and validate the policy info, which I did. Rather than Validate the policy, the person at the company created a duplicate policy. Once I discovered this I cancelled the duplicate policy and Vanline are now demanding £663 outstanding balance and cancellation fee for a policy I never opened. Reviewed on: 24th November 2022

total scam - should be removed from comparison sites

This is the second time : they always are the lowest quote so of course you click on it. They take a small deposit then ring you to "validate" - you have to do the form AGAIN on the phone and they find things wrong - (petty -made up stuff!) - they then try and add large amounts of money to your quote. Since this has happened twice I now realise the scam - the first time I clocked it to my own mistake. I then cancelled and they want to keep your deposit as a cancellation fee! Can't believe they are allowed to remain active- totally put me off ever using a comparison site again! Reviewed on: 23rd October 2022

Absolutely useless. They still try and take money out of my account at random times 3 years after policy ended. No direct phone number to call, online chat is non existent too! No matter when you go on there its always 'Sophie' and asks the same questions and gives no answers. They are thieves, avoid them like the plague Reviewed on: 23rd September 2022

Absolute shambles!!

Absolute shambles of a service in my experience. Everything has to be done through an online portal (despite their documentation saying that I can resolve issues, make changes to my policy and make payments over the phone). The portal has many glitches and has caused me to get fines due to the fact that it kept refusing my card. The support agents in the chat are less than helpful, not actually responding to the questions I have asked. I will not be renewing with them, nor will I be recommending them to anyone. Dont waste your time and money!!

I had van insurance with Vanline Direct 2021 - 22 , got my renewal through which was rediculous so i shopped around and got a few quotes via a compare site. It just so happenend that Vanline was one of the cheaper ones so i took out the insurance with them again... thats when the trouble began. They obviously took offence to me shopping around and they made it known through their customer service. Took my money but refused to send my policy documents through (found out that i was not insured for 2 days of driving) after 3 days of phone calls and emails i decided to cancel, thats a whole new story. Wasted 2 hours of my time

They quoted 300 online..paid went back to work and phoned me..had to re do whole form again on phone !! Why..then said I hadn’t ticked option to and from a place of work..!..and wanted another £500 !!..the two options were social domestic pleasure option no 1 commercial..option two..I ticked option one which sparrently was a mistake on my part ..warranting a £25 charge and an extortionate quote..nearly double..there is no option to and from a place of work ..never ever use these waste of my day firm ..should b struck off Reviewed on: 19th August 2022

Worst ever experience, most useless incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. None has a clue what they are doing. Take your money and screw your over.
