Spent forever on the phone getting a quote to be told they would get me a better quotation which happened to be £600 more than my current insurance company. An absolute waste of time. Reviewed on: 14th August 2026

Penalised unfairly

1
By mistake , i gave them a date which was a year out regarding a past claim. They had already taken the money from me while my application was being reviewed. They then raised the claim by over £100, so i decided not to go ahead, they then charged me an admin fee, which i thought was unfair as it was an honest mistake. I do not feel they should have taken my money before the application had been reviewed and accepted either. The lady was rude and abrupt, I will never use them again. Reviewed on: 30th June 2026

Smallprint warriors - 'as per terms of business'

I can only presume that those who have given positive reviews have not had to amend or cancel their policy in anyway. Should be ZERO STARS. Avoid at all costs. A change of address was a £35 admin fee. I paid £340 for a policy in May. I have now sold the car and they have offered a refund of £7.12! Absolute scammers of the highest order. Look at the below! Insurers charge for time on cover: £97.29 Adrian Flux cancellation fee: £35.00 Retention of set up fee, as per our terms of business: £100.00 Retention of brokerage fee, as per our terms of business: £31.12 Rentention of policy amendment fees for any changes, as per terms of business: £70.00 Total cancellation charges: £333.41 Total amount paid: £340.53 Total refund: £7.21 Reviewed on: 6th October 2025

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Adrian Flux...

1
Extremely Disappointing Experience with Adrian Flux – Would Not Recommend I’ve had a very poor experience with Adrian Flux, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this broker. Their website feels outdated and lacks any modern automation — you cannot make even the simplest changes to your policy online. Customer service is extremely slow, and the lack of digital tools makes every process frustratingly manual. To make matters worse, they unexpectedly increased my monthly payment from £147 to £395 without clear justification. It took weeks to receive my No Claims Bonus (NCB), and getting a quote for a new vehicle required several days of waiting — unacceptable in today’s market. Overall, Adrian Flux has been the worst insurance provider I’ve ever dealt with. Poor service, outdated systems, and unreasonable charges. Never again. Reviewed on: 30th July 2025

Avoid and go elsewhere

1
My renewal was sent with a premium of £245 for the year, I had already agreed a sale of my bike, but the buyer could not collect until after my renewal date, for peace of mind I decided to keep the bike insured even though it was not being used and in safe storage. I explained this to the call handler that the bike would be gone in 14 – 18 days and I asked how best to move forward. I was advised rather than pay the full premium up front, pay a deposit of £45 and set up an agreement for monthly payment starting 3 months after the initial renewal, that way when I sold the bike I could cancel the instalment plan. Bike was sold 16 days in, I called to cancel, and they charged me another £115 , so with the £45 already paid = £160 for 16 days cover , I was totally mislead by the call handler , complete thieves! Laid Up Insurance Problem

1
I bought "laid up insurance" as I had temporarily lost my licence due to a sight defect. I had no idea how long I would be suspended for. The insurance was rather expensive but I had to have it. I asked whether I could transfer the insurance to a normal comprehensive policy once my licence was reinstated. I was told that yes no problem - any balance left could be set against the new policy. I now have my licence back and contacted AF to set up a new policy. They quoted me a ridiculous amount of around £1000 which took into account my 9+ years of NCB. I had already researched the market and could get a comprehensive policy for around £215! I then asked for the policy to be cancelled and requested a refund for the unexpired portion of the premium paid. I was saddened to learn that "this was not possible" for laid up insurance and that they were very sorry that I had apparently been misinformed. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. Avoid as they are legalised thief's,

1
Avoid as they are legalised thief's, I was given a quote, I accepted, they then said they gave wrong quote (£420 then went to £1400) I said no, cancel it, they said they will refund with £85 fee deducted, it was not due to start until old insurance ran out (2 week’s time) but no they still wanted £85, now I have all the hassle to get full refund through small claims court, nothing but con artists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

1
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Quoted me £450 online which I agreed and paid. Several days later they asked me to call them to validate the insurance and asked for an additional £380. On that basis I asked them to cancel the quote and to issue me with refund which they agreed to, but will be deducting an £80 admin fee out of it. This is despite the policy not being set up and being within the 14 day cooling off period. Absolute daylight robbery - NO NOT USE! Reviewed on: 4th December 2024
