Simple to sign up and use great for an oldie with easy password retrieval

I have held my American Express card for some years now. Originally I signed up for cash back, but I have stuck with AE because the customer service is really good and the card is easy to use. Also if it's been a while since I have used it, pin number retrieval is quick and simple. Reviewed on: 9th June 2019

Even all around

When i look for a credit card i usually aim at the drawbacks instead of the benefits, so since this card (the blue) has long 0% APR period in case you need some time to pay off a large purchase or transfer a balance. Which is totally great. other than that there is the cashback, an actual benefit, its 6% rate and a $6000 limit makes it really attractive to anyone, really. I must point out that my grocery bill is high and I do drive a few hundred miles every week, keep that in mind if you are considering this card. Reviewed on: 3rd May 2017

Public Complaint

i paid my monthly bill on time £200+ two days later an email from amex said my payment was overdue and if not recieved i would be charged so i paid again (mistake) now three phone calls and four weeks later i am still waiting for my refund amex claim it was paid back to the wrong account number !!! surely all they had to do was check the payment details and send it back to the same account i have recieved three empty promises of an imminent payment . Very helpful customer service

If you're going to get a credit card, I would definitely recommend American Express. They're prompt and efficient at reviewing your application and getting your card out to you, and the customer service throughout the entire process is really very good. Every person that I dealt with from the company were helpful, well-informed and friendly, and really did their best to meet my needs and to answer any queries I had. Highly recommended!
