I wish it were possible to have the option of 'ZERO' stars, because thats what I would give Aviva.
Is anyone else aware that since Friday 5th May (4 days ago), they have had a system problem that prevents payments being made for some customers?
I called, and they were supposed to ring me back on Saturday - they didn't.
I called Monday, to hear that they had this problem, and supposedly still trying to resolve it. Have you ever heard anything as ludicrous?
It does get worse, apparently if you wish to make a complaint, their complaints department have to call you back - IN 5 DAYS !!!!!
So how best to handle a disgruntled customer - Aviva appear to think ignore them for 5 days.
Hey Aviva - Ever heard of customer service.
A good company is not one that doesn't have problems, it's one that resolves them with excellence, NOT ignorance.

Lots of persistent phone calls and emails and texts in the days prior to renewal. I HATE this. Got offered a £20 online discount but only valid for one day.
Renewal with them was cheaper than elsewhere and the only thing I hate is that the value of my car stated as between £500 and £1499. I'm concerned as trade in price is only £190-£250.

alternative accomodation

I had an alternative accommodation cover for £50,000. Paid my parents £14.28 a day to stay with them for 4 weeks. Then paid £1000 for a caravan which I lived in for 6 months. They told me paying a £1000 for a caravan was generous. I then persuaded th...

They told me paying a £1000 for a caravan was generous. I then persuaded them to pay for a better caravan for £22000. Now they want me to buy back the caravan from them for £15000 before I have a house to live in.

I used various comparison sites and got direct quotes online last year to find that Aviva were the cheapest for me for the level of cover I required for my car. Getting the quote, understanding what was/wasn't included and buying the insurance were all straightforward, clear processes. I've not had to use them to make a claim, but I've contacted customer services on one occasion by telephone to ask a fairly general enquiry and found the staff to be polite, helpful and knowledgeable enough to give me a trustworthy answer. I shopped around this year, as I always do, but it's the first time that my renewal quote has actually been a cheaper (and by a reasonable amount) than any other provider. It's the only time I've ever done a straightforward renewal, which was pain-free and quick online. I had to make a few amendments to my details shortly after and found the online account to be such a bonus as I didn't have to go through a call centre; I just made the amendment, was told how much more/what refund would be due on certain areas due to the changes, and with a few clicks had the confirmation sent through. I really appreciated the lack of admin charges when making changes to personal details too as a lot of providers like to stick a good £50+ on for the pleasure of them updating your information. Aviva therefore get a thumbs up from me for price, clarity, the easy-to-use website and online account feature
