My wife was admitted to hospital for emergency treatment-we wrote to them and said what do you need from us.No reply. We sent bills £8ks worth, nothing for a year apart from telling us our providers were not recognised by Avila-they made that up. A year later we get a letter saying please contact us about it-we need some information. What do need? Silence . Next up we are going to sue. Read more Read less

I asked Aviva to transfer an old serps pension into a new Aviva SIPP pension. Easy enogh, one Aviva pension to another Aviva pension. No ! My large amount of money went missing for over 2 months. Put in a complaint and it took them 4 months to even look. Lost interest on my investment. Stress that affected my already struggling mental health. Today I was awarded £300. Absolutely disgusted with the result and the contiual going around on circles asking where and why my money was misplaced or lost. Read more Read less

I got involved with a trading broker who unexpectedly withheld all my funds, preventing me from making any withdrawals. I later filed a report with an asset retrieval specialist, Kristina Hooper, who assists victims in restitution assets lost to online platforms. With her help, I was able to successfully retrieve my funds. If you’ve experienced a similar issue, you can contact kristina...hooper---- 24----at----gmail.----com She highly recommended. Extremely disappointed with the service from Aviva. The lack of respect towards customers and the excessive delay in paying my money has been unacceptable. They gave deadlines that were not respected, and even after sending emails and following up several times, I received no proper response and my payment still has not been deposited. I would strongly advise people to think very carefully before doing any business with Aviva. In my experience, communication has been poor, promises and timelines have not been honoured, and the whole process has caused unnecessary stress and frustration. Very disappointing experience from a company that should treat customers with much more professionalism and respect. Read more Read less

Have been trying to initiate a drawdown for the past 8 weeks from my initial instruction. No communication, I have had to make several calls where you are on hold for at least 30 minutes to speak to someone who just says its in hand, or its been approved but will take 5-7 days to make a transfer. A week later the transfer is still not made, again several phone calls and no one will take ownership of the issue or explain why the delay, is it human error, fraud or corporate mismanagement. To anyone who might read a review before taking out a pension then my advice is AVOID - AVIVA. Read more Read less

    What happened to customer service?

Typical large company -telephone enquiries are funnelled through a call centre, followed by a flowchart of reasons why they feel they don't have to pay a reasonable claim!

I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that being with Aviva Zero would mean being with one of the reputable insurers and therefore quite a decent and easy experience in terms of claims and customer service. However, not entirely so. When it came down to it it was business as usual in terms of customer service. I was only really ever able to communicate via chat messaging services or email, and never over the telephone. Then, when having to claim, this part was good enough - the person I spoke to was very nice and did their job extremely well when having to register my claim for theft related damages. However, one sneaky thing I wasn't expecting was that the excess is something like £500 more if I requested to choose my own Mazda approved dealer. So, I had to settle for one of their recognised ones. This was nice that it was local, but I suppose there's a reason why they have Aviva-approved garages. The most baffling thing for me though was their not wanting to offer me a renewal price at the end of the policy renewal. I've never known an insurance provider to refuse providing cover after 1 year (particularly as the claim was to fix 1 window and inner door panelling after being robbed) so it just left a bad taste in my mouth! Was it that bad of me to use a policy for what it is there for? Read more Read less

Wanted to start a drawdown. No online option. Forced to endure a very lengthy phone call on a very bad line with a man who talked too fast with an accent. Gave up trying to understand what he was saying and just kept saying yes to everything. Finally agreed the drawdown and a few days later had to read dozens of pages of documents online and complete pointless forms including having to copy a very long code by hand from one part of the form to another! Just hope the money arrives and never want to deal with Aviva again. Read more Read less
