had to make a claim , so many things went wrong when trying to upload a dashcam video to their site ( their website sucks to use) got sent to a physio for my neck who barely spoke english & did close to nothing , very poor info re what happens to my no claims bonus, very unipressed with how they operate Reviewed on: 23rd August 2024

DO NOOT GO WITH THEEEEM! EVEER!!!!

DO NOT, I REPEAT- DO NOT GO WITH THEM!!! I was Esure customer for 2 years. On 8th July 2018 my car was parked on a road while i was shopping and a drunk driver crushed/stopped in my car. Thankfully I was not in the car when this happened. It's been 5 and a half months since the accident and Esure hasn't closed the case yet because they haven't received money from the drunk driver's insurance! My insurance has to be renewed on 26.11.18- 4 days from today and i have signed up with a new insurance company. The new insurance company will charge me ridiculous amount on top of the original quote they gave me because according to the main insurance database i am at fault! I contacted Esure numerous times asking them to close the case because this is affecting me and i have to pay a lot more than what i am supposed to but they said they cant speed up the process and they will close the claim once they receive their money for the claim. I offered Esure to pay the extra cost to the new insurer but they refused! LET ME MENTION ONE MORE TIME THAT I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO FAULT FOR THE ACCIDENT AND I HAVE BEEN THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 2 FULL YEARS! I will be taking this further- ombudsman and then court. I will not pay for someone else's mistakes and laziness! I have experienced a few nervous breakdowns while talking to them on the phone and i will make sure this is paid for! I will not sacrifice my health anymore for something i have 0 fault for and for organization which clearly don't care about their customers and most of their employees are too lazy to do their job properly. They love telling their customers they wouldn't be able to help! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SOMETHING THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT! Horrible and dishonest! I am speechless! Reviewed on: 22nd November 2018

Dishonest rude liars and thieves

Esure contacted me about renewal a slight reduction on the previous year I got in touch for a quote on some changes of circumstances which would result in my car being safer. Resulting in a even better reduction I then got in touch before my renewal date to make some changes as they’d then happened. They quoted me more than the original renewal quote! So i decided to leave as they’d been dishonest and the call operator was frankly rude. They didn’t value me as a customer enough to even offer to offer the original renewal quote! To top it all off they took the payment from my account 2 days after the renewal date! Without even sending me a email to confirm my cancelled contract! Avoid this company liars and now thieves. Avoid using eSure, as they may leave you uninsured without your knowledge.

Stopped by the police, and informed that my car appeared on their system to be uninsured. Told them I was with eSure, and they advised that I HAD been with eSure but that eSure had cancelled the policy. Had absolutely NO communication from eSure to say there was any issue, despite eSure having my address, e-mail and home and mobile telephone numbers. AND I’M NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT eSure HAVE DONE THIS TO. After EVENTUALLY getting a response having emailed a couple of their senior people, they say that they DID try to contact me, but they cannot PROVE that they did. My job depends on me being insurable on the company’s insurance, and I will now lose my job as a result of eSure’s screwup. MY ADVICE IS TO USE A TRUSTWORTHY INSURANCE COMPANY - DO NOT USE eSure OR ANY OTHER INSURANCE COMPANY WITHIN THE eSure GROUP OF COMPANIES (which also includes Sheila’s Wheels), or you may find yourself uninsured without knowing. eSure are untrustworthy, and do not care about their customers once they have initially signed up. Liars, openly deceitful company with no respect for contract law

So, after an accident at the beginning of August I was almost immediately called by the 3rd party insurer and offered a £100 incentive for allowing them to handle car hire etc instead of my own company - saves them a good deal of money, obviously. While the write off of the car was dealt with quickly, it now transpires that there was never any intention of the £100 cheque being paid. Having initially been offered the payment by "Scott" on the 2nd, I finally decided to chase the absent amount on 24th, being assured that the cheque would be sent out immediately - another perfectly pleasant operator, just lying through her teeth, obviously. So here we are, a month later, and I've just sat through a 10 minute "screw you" with "Tom", clearly the last line of indifference in this third rate company's arsenal of mediocre functionaries. A couple of minutes of being talked over and I was put on hold indefinitely - guess I can go whistle for the money you owe me then? It's worth noting that these petty crooks operate out of Scotland, so they consider themselves immune to the rule of law that governs breach of contract (and openly fraudulent activity) in the rest of what used to be Britain. All I can say is this - if some crook from eSure tries to con you into saving them money, don't do it - let your insurance company hit them with whatever grossly inflated expenses they want, it's the least they deserve!! Positive experience so far

Recently changed to Esure after seeing really positive reviews online. Also had windscreen repair recently and had cheque reimbursement quickly as promised afterwards. Thankfully not had to deal with any accidents so cannot comment on that side of things. Reviewed on: 10th August 2018

Unhelpful

Auto-renewed our insurance without telling us, resulting in a charge on our credit card (which has since been refunded). Would not recommend. Reviewed on: 30th July 2018
