My vehicle was hit by another vehicle around 6:30am...

My vehicle was hit by another vehicle around 6:30am on 11 June 2025. After exchanged the driver's details, I went to my company first. Around 10:30am, opposition insurance company called me and suggest me need not to report to my insurance. They would do the repair for my car by their approved repairer and offer extra GBP 600 compensation to me. I counter request use my own garage to do the repair and they said it is no problem to use my own garage to repair. Hangings directed persuaded me to accept the claims’ plan, saying it would be very simple, and I need not to do anything. Now I find it really annoying to have to deal with this company. Now I feel really frustrated and embarrassed. I have obviously done what they asked, but they always make things difficult for me, making me feel that they don't want to compensate me at all. I feel uncomfortable to their company procedures. I need to be mentally prepared to face these procedures. I requested the full pictures of the procedures, any other documents are required to provide, any documents are required to sign, how to pay the claims. However, nothing they have provided. All workflows are black box operation. Don't trust this company. It is wasting time to deal the claims. Reviewed on: 31st July 2025

Really annoyed, beware of Hastings insurance.

Really annoyed, beware of Hastings insurance. Took out insurance and sent no claim from previous insurer which they would not accept, so I been on the phone with them, after 20 minutes, of me asking why? Then they did accept it. The annoying bit is they altered my insurance,it was £1:60 more and they charged me £30 handling fee, really £30 for a £1:60 change. Asked if they could do anything about it, NO was the reply. only giving one star as it would not take review otherwise. rang hasting direct to change car details for remaining 8 months of policy and they charged me forty five per cent more than the total policy. my yearly rate was £258 pounds but charged me another £118 for the remaining eight months even though car had the same power engine and same value. been promised two call backs and not received them taking full day off work and hours on phone at my cost.be warned dont use this firm or read this and make up your own mind. Hastings agreed to make a cash in lieu payment and confirmed date for repairs to be done. Said payment would be 3-5 working days. Nearly 3 weeks on and when chased said it was with payment team who were completing a standard check. However, they had no idea when the standard check would be completed. Ok until you actually have to use them. I was involved in a no fault hit and run where the other party accepted liability. They have severely under valued my vehicle at (offered £500 for a car valued at £1850). Ignored my emails and disputes, and will bully and coerce you into accepting an offer. If you call they'll put you on hold for ages in the hopes you give up. Ignore the bots on here and don't bother. Reviewed on: 13th June 2025

Terrible - my car gets stolen and they refuse the claim for a key discrepancy issue and THEN LOSE THAT key! Car has been found by the police and Hastings, for over a month, have refused to resolve the fact I have not been able to pick up my car, since they LOST the only key I had access to. Accidental Damage

Reviews should be given on the back of a good or bad service. Not if you got a cheaper quote! This company is run by a bunch of fraudsters. My claim was refused for accidental TV damage because by removing fluff from corner of the TV I was essentially cleaning the TV! Cleaning is not covered under accidental damage. So just lie chaps at how you accidentally damaged something as these FRAUSTERS do not value honest customers. Reviewed on: 24th January 2025
