More than a cut above other Banks!

After many, long years of exceptionally bad Customer Service and monumental incompetence on behalf of the Barclays Group, we finally made the move(s). Slowly but surely, personal account and investments first, then same for husband and finally the Business. And what a difference that made. Web/Mobile Banking suitable for the complex needs of the Global Trading World, competent advisors who are able to assist should the need to speak to a person arise, a Bank that constantly evolves and aims to better serving its customers introducing new products and services, navigating through the excessive and unnecessary Government bureaucratic impediments, a Bank that listens! so bad its unreal

They used to be good. but i have never seen a company drop so quickly so far in quality

Staff in local bank - gone. Average personally experienced wait time to talk to someone on phone - between 1 hour and 90 mins over the last 2 years. They send you the odd form out - demand you complete it and then refuse to help or explain, Reviewed on: 5th February 2022

Appalling

HSBC care nothing for their customers, it's as if they think you work for them. Their hideous holding muzak is enough to drive you to distraction - I presume, this is the intention. You are kept on hold for an age and then the line is cut off. Of course, you cannot go to a branch because they are all closing down. It's as if they don't want any customers. In desperation, after being locked out of one of my bank accounts for nearly a month, I wrote to their CEO. A week on, I am still awaiting a response, other than the automated rubbish that they usually spout. If you value your sanity, your time, don't want your hearing damaged by incessant techno muzak and want access to your money, avoid HSBC. Reviewed on: 5th February 2022

Cost is rising

out of the box not fit for purpose

trying to pay my corp tax and there seem to be a 10k cap on payments.... ok i thought like the personal account I'll do it in two goes... er no I can only pay 10k per day?.... from a business account!! witch i pay for the privilege of having, oh well here's to the next hour on the phone getting told because of covid we can't be bothered to man or staff the helpline to cope with the problems we have caused! Stay safe stay sane stay away

Their safeguarding team close account with no notice and freeze your money. You can’t pay wages, suppliers but they keep accepting payments in! Hold on phone for 2 hours plus. No email response. HSBC cause detrimental losses to your company and mind. Reviewed on: 14th December 2021

awful draconian bank with no urgency for customers time.

This bank think it is acceptable to not give easy access to account details and think it is ok to have you on hold forever!! trying to run a business here! They rely on the amount of hassle caused by changing bank. Reviewed on: 14th December 2021
