Review of the Lloyds Bank, Club Lloyds Current Account:

Great account with good rewards

5
A great account which is easy to manage via a great little app. Good reward programme with instant sign up/ transfer rewards along with everyday rewards. Usual benefits including contactless debit cards, overdraft and upgrade options. Friendly branch and phone teams too. The only thing they are lacking is the emergency cash option which is offered by some competitors Reviewed on: 6th November 2018

Best interest rate on £5k

I have had a Club Lloyds account for around 6 months now. I was attracted to the account because it offers 4% interest on balances between £4,000 and £5,000. It's been a great day to day account and I receive around £14.00 interest per month from keeping it topped up with a balance of £5,000. I also received a pack of free cinema tickets for vue cinemas as an annual 'reward' for holding the account. I haven't had any issues that have required me to deal with Lloyds customer service team, but opening the account was very straightforward. My only negative would be that you don't receive any interest at all on balances over £5,000 and the interest rate drops below £4,000 so you need to keep a close eye on the balance! The full package

Club Lloyds is a fantastic pick for anyone who's looking to get a little extra from their current account. Offering 4% AER , you can also choose a perk such as a magazine subscription, cinema tickets or a Gourmet Club membership. Reviewed on: 21st August 2015

good service and rewards, decent interest, a customer service

You get up to 4% AER and also they gave me 6 VUE cinema tickets. Only need to pay £1500 a month. You also get £100 overdraft which is decent, just in case. I think you can't go wrong with this account. Reviewed on: 15th August 2015

Top rate of interest

5
A great account, offering 4% on £5K. Easy to avoid £5 monthly fee (by having £1500 paid into account per month from non-Lloyds sources - we transfer money between Lloyds and Santander to do this). Lloyds quite happy to add wife's name to account (as she is a non-income taxpayer), so half of interest paid gross (so we get 3.6% overall net - easily beats ISAs!!!) Reviewed on: 14th August 2015

Upgraded to Club Lloyds recently. Was easy to do online and also offer a great interest rate if you are in credit.

I upgraded my account recently and it was so easy to do. My Club Lloyds account also gives a free subscription to a magazine of my choice. I like Lloyds Online Banking because all transactions are just a 'click' away. Reviewed on: 10th August 2015

I upgraded my Lloyds Current account to Club Lloyds recently. It was very easy to upgrade and I am getting a good rate of interest.

I decided to upgrade my account because of the good rate of interest. The process of upgrading was so easy and my account runs like a dream. I like being able to do everything online and not having to go into a branch. As an added bonus I also get a free 12 months' subscription to a magazine of my choice. Reviewed on: 10th August 2015

Great Internet Banking

5
I changed to Lloyds from Santander a number of years ago and I have to admit that they're brill. Charges are minimal and easily explained. I get a text if I ever go overdrawn unexpectedly and have until 3pm to rectify it. The internet banking is great - so accessible and easy to use. I wouldn't bank anywhere else. Ups and downs

I've found the service levels at Lloyds bank to be pretty variable. In fairness, they seem to have more good days than bad days, but after this long with them i still haven't figured out the best times to call them - sometimes they're really busy mid afternoon, other times super quiet! High interest on balances and many extra benefits

5
I switched to Lloyds Bank Club Lloyds Current Account almost a year ago and I must say it was a right thing to. Not only do they pay interest on my current account (for the balances up to GBP5000) but they also offer special cashback offers from time to time, not to mention Club benefits such as magazine subscription or cinema tickets. The only bad point is the time it takes for them to consider you eligible for one of the credit cards. I've been declined once already and I never go in overdraft and have a fair credit score. Very good value bank account

I recently switched to the Lloyds Club Account and am very impressed with it. The account rewards you for having more money in your current account earning an impressive 4% gross interest on £5k which is very difficult to achieve on many savings accounts let alone a current account. Additional features include a lifestyle benefit each year, either cinema tickets, magazine subscription or Gourmet Society membership. I also like the ability to 'save the change', Lloyds rounds up money spent from the account to the nearest £ and puts it in a separate savings account. Great idea! My only issue with the account is that I believe the lifestyle benefits are a bit limited and more choice could be offered, especially as not everybody lives within easy access to cinemas and restaurants.
