Very competitive offer for the older borrower

Very competitive offer for the older borrower with the ability to extend the loan for up to 35 years which suited my circumstances. The discounted SVR option with no fee or penalty seems to be unique to Loughborough. The Advisor interview was friendly but professional and the Report was available the same day with recommendations. Reviewed on: 28th February 2025

An excellent service

I contacted Loughborough Building Society about getting a mortgage. My case had some peculiarities and from the outset everyone was willing to assist me and did their utmost to overcome the difficulties. My personal contact, Rob Johnson, has been immensely helpful, patient, polite, and knowledgeable during the entire process. The communication with Rob, and also Ben from general enquiries. has been consistently efficient, prompt, and informative. In short my experience from Rob and the sociery is that of a friendly, professional service, which makes the usually stressful process of buying a property much more manageable, and reassuring. We have been with Loughborough for over 10 years and...

We have been with Loughborough for over 10 years and always had brilliant service. Recently, we took the plunge in buying a new home. Rob Johnson has dealt with our mortgage and he has been brilliant. The service has been personable, and Rob didn't just note down our answers to the questions in the initial part of the process, he listened to them and gained an understanding of our circumstances and what was important to us. He answered all of our questions and was very responsive to emails / calls, answering any questions or worries we had straight away. We felt we could really trust Rob with what was the biggest purchase of our lives and we are so grateful that in a stressful period of time, our mortgage application was looked after so well, it was one less thing to worry about. My mortgage broker....

My mortgage broker delt directly with Loughborough, so unable to comment on most things but it seems to have going through fairly quickly and the communication betweem both parties was good and quick. Reviewed on: 11th September 2024
