Do not need form of id to set up overdraft

Someone managed to hack my account which is not the fault of the bank. They then set up an overdraft and transferred the full amount out in one. This should have been subject to checks to set up the overdraft and to transfer that much out to a new payee. Customer service was very unhelpful Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Good but not without its quirks

A clean and simple user interface, but their product offering could be better. The lack of investment opportunity (for example a stocks and shares ISA option) is frustrating given the offers of other competing challenger banks. But the ability to instantly freeze and unfreeze your card is gamechanging for those that often misplace them (albeit temporarily!) Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Pots are the BEST

A common habit by people with ADHD is to organise things in piles. I’ve done this since I was a kid, and as long as the right thing is in the right pile, I know where it is. As soon as it’s moved, I’ve lost it. Same goes with money. When it’s all in one lump I can’t differentiate what I can spend and what I can’t. Pots have solved this for me. I can compartmentalise everything to perfection, and it really helps me to manage my money, and to save, as opposed to spending all sorts that I shouldn’t, especially when the dopamine inducing impulse-buying is rife! Simple clear banking

With a very easy to use app I've found banking with Monzo significantly simpler and clearer than other providers. Saving is obviously so important and I've found it so much easier to do with Monzo and much easier to understand the different options too with their clear explanations. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023
