Personalised and supportive banking

Having been a personal banking customer of NatWest for over 5 years, I opened a business bank account to set up my new Ethnic/Asian Maternity Wear & Nursing Wear business - Indi Mamma. It's been a smooth process and really refreshing to be able to go into my local branch for help with international payments, as well as an easy process applying for funding to facilitate the growth of my business. NatWest Business Profile Platform lets them down

Been with NatWest business for 2 decades, day to day basic stuff is fine. we are a not for profit, no debt, nothing complicated. The thing that I hate so much, and is cause of so much frustration is their 'Business Profile' system. When they brought it in, they send a letter during lockdown so we didn't get it in time and they suspended our account without warning for 3 days. we lost decent money, had months of sorting out cancelled DDs etc. the issue is, as we are not for profit, Directors come and go over the years. The platform doesn't allow you to update it proactively, it's locked down until they decide the platform doesn't match companies house and then send you (post only) a threatening letter saying if don't update they will suspend your account. This business profile platform is truly awful, and whoever is in charge, shouldn't be in a job. (in case of any bias, i worked proudly for NatWest for 5 years in management, still a shareholder, but this platform shames them. Reviewed on: 19th January 2023

Easy to use and good range of functions!

The NatWest mobile app is easy to use and intuitive. There are loads of products for Businesses as well as some great features like face ID for extra security, quick payment requests via link or QR code, and easy management of settings/notifications to help manage my day-to-day banking needs. Canceled my Accounts without no reason

Unfortunately after 12 years as a accounts are being threatened with being closed without any explanation and with no possibility of appeal or response to any email. I think it's horrible, against all international legal standards I'm a small I strongly advise, any business owner to don't open a business account in because of a lack of stability and trustability, you never know when they are going to close your account. Unfortunately after 12 years as a Natwest customer, all my accounts are being threatened with being closed without any explanation and with no possibility of appeal or response to any email. I think it's horrible, against all international legal standards I'm a small company of Courses and I've never had any problems with the Natwest bank and I've never failed to pay any debt in Natwest, I repudiate their dictatorial acts and advise everyone who wants to open an account at NatWest not to open one, as NatWest is a company that can close your account at any time without explanation. Frozen business account for no reason

After banking with NatWest for over a year they suddenly frozen my account 8 weeks ago with no reason at all. And still will not give me any information or access to monies or statements. Luckily I had just paid my vat but now I need to file my next quarter with no access to 6 weeks of my banking. I have called at least twice a told be told the same thing, some one will call you from the bank, yet nothing. I am a relatively small business and to loose my balance and having to operate on weekly takings holding off outgoing payments is not good for any business. I could have lost my business all together and their customer service is useless and arrogant. Reviewed on: 6th December 2022

Terrible Business Account Service

I've been waiting 10 months and 1 week for password reset information. They never answer the phone, or they do as they are doing now. I arranged a ring back and I can hear a conversation about somebody's worries about something that came up on a credit check, but nobody is actually talking to me! CONSTANT problems - just avoid if you are a business owner

Takes HOURS to get anything done on the phone, passed from team to team, asked to come into branch, branch have no idea what they are doing. It took me an hour in branch to change one phone number and a further 2 hours on the phone the next day because the branch apparently 'had not effected the change properly'. Regular payments to staff are flagged as fradulent, triggering a cumbersome 'ID verification' process where they ask you if you are a real person, and then tell you to go back into the branch in person anyway. You go into the branch and then the changes they said took effect have not in fact taken effect - by far the worst bank I have ever used (and I have also lived in 2 other countries with less sophisticated banks).
