Renewal quote high but did haggle

Wasn't impressed with renewal quote so did check out other insurers then let Privilege know the best deal price & asked if they would match it. They did but why didn't they give a lower, more reasonable quote in the first place! They almost lost out as I was very tempted to go elsewhere!! Reviewed on: 28th June 2023

SCAM - CHEATER - DONT USE THEM 100 % I can confirm how rubbish this company are! 5013537336 Calls centres are in India, very difficult to understand them. EVEN WAIT 1 HOUR TO CANCEL MY POLICY WITH TMEM. Heartless company. Full of lies!! And I am carless thanks to theft and I thought I didn’t need to worry. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THEM... I CAN SAY 100 % RUN VERY FAR AWAY FROM THEM, ONLY WILL EAT YOUR MONEY AND WILL GIVE YOU STRESS. I am now stressed that these people are useless! Don't choose Privilege

The Privilege hasn't paid my damage claim in over a year. They do not respond to e-mail. Since the car was old, Privilege engineers decided to collect the car and pay for it. They didn't pay off the car! Never again Privilege! Reviewed on: 28th April 2023

AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COST

Very rude staff, Some staff talk minimal English, No help whatsoever, takes months to process a claim. I would rather walk everywhere than set up a insurance with Privledge. Reviewed on: 24th March 2023

Very poor service

It's been 6 weeks since I submitted a claim with Privilege and they have done absolutely nothing about it. Every week when I call them, it's the same old story. We are busy, call back next week and we'll have an answer for you. But come th next week, I just get the same excuses again. I submitted all the photos, information and quote immediately after I made the claim. There is absolutely no reason why it should take so long to look at it. They are very quick to take your money, but when it comes to paying out a claim they take their sweet time. This is the first time that I had my car insured with Privilege and also the first claim I've ever made, but I will definitely never get car insurance from them again. I have complained several times now and every time I was promised that someone would call me back, but I never hear from them. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2023

Do not use

Logged that my car had its catalytic converter stolen so claim could start. Police investigating & obtained a crime reference number & claim reference number from privilege. Asked to get the car delivered to Cheltenham as the recovery company wanted the car out of their compound in Bristol. Car delivery to Cheltenham. Informed by privilege my car would be fixed in 7 days- a complete lie. No curtesy car. Received a text message informing me a garage in Gloucester was fixing my car. I hit the roof as I didn’t know where & what was happening to my car. Called privilege to seek clarify, 45 minutes on the phone waiting to be then informed very rudely they can’t help me as their system is down. I asked them to take down my information & call me, they rudely refused. Now they are delaying everything & refusing to offer me a curtesy car. Read the reviews for Direct line, churchill & privilege ( all owed by uk insurance) you can then draw your own conclusion. From my own experience I have had the worst experience ever & will NOT recommend to anyone. Filled complaints but they take no notice. The ombudsman will have to sort this out for me. Give up driving altogether, before signing up to Privilege Insurance

You reviewed Privilege Add photo Truth Speaker 11 reviews GB Rated 1 out of 5 stars Absolutely the worst company I've ever… Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with in any field, let alone insurance. 16 months after an accident where I was hid by a drunk driver, who literally ran fir the hills abandoning her car and blocking the road completely for 3 hours. The police said there was no way it was my fault, and ii had an independent witness who stated she was staggering, smelled of spirits and accepted full liability, and that markings on the road showed that she had lost control, veered up and bank before rebounding across the road and Headon hitting the rear quarter of my car so hard her airbag deployed. There is no way I could have hit the front of here car with the side of mine, but privilege recorded it as my fault, took over a year to contact the police and 16 months down the line are now trying to claim that they can't get hold of the witness and the police have no record of the accident, despite the witness assuring me that he has spoken with them, and my having provided photographs, video, witness contact details, and the incident report together with the police officers names and numbers. Never, ever use this company. I will regret it for the rest of my life. The only way forward for me is the ombudsman, the media, and the BBC who I am already speaking to. Service so bad I thought I was getting punked.

They have just failed to pick up our wrecked car again because they driver was not told the car was wrecked, he had no room on the lorry and was planning to tow the car behind. At this point I am not even suprised, they originally said it would be around two weeks to pick it up and blamed covid, when they came it was decided the car was a write off on the spot so they did not take it away and we could not have a courtesy car, we still have not had an offer for the car and its been about a month, do not use this company the service is an absolute joke. Corrupt company

Cancelled insurance and I had paid them for 1 year in advance. Then had the audacity to say I owed them £175. Avoid! Reviewed on: 16th December 2022
