Competitive mortgage, flexible mobile app

Very happy with my Santander mortgage, especially as their mobile app allows me to manage both regular and one-off overpayments with ease, meaning I don't have to use apps like Sprive. Reviewed on: 1st June 2023

Worst customer service ever

So many issues with poor customer service. Poor handling of remortgage meant they had to extend the completion date twice to complete our application. Hard to get hold of and poor app features. Reviewed on: 1st June 2023

Title deeds

Have requested my deeds 5 times,was told there would be a fee that was £250, I refused to pay it I have been told to download them.My property is 300yrs old so want the originals.On my last attempt I was told I can take a couple of months to send them to me,that was over 4 months ago and still waiting..I am disgusted that after been a loyal customer for 15yrs they can't even be bothered to carry out a single easy request.The top and bottom of it is they just can't be bothered and there attitude of we have made our money off you,now sod off.Wrll done Santander. Easy to use website

I use the site a lot to review my mortgage and they seem to keep adding new functions. Any company is difficult to get through to on the phone, so using online facilities helps. I like the way you can use a debit card now to pay off some of your mortgage now, much easier than ringing in! Reviewed on: 13th March 2023

Mortgage up by £550 a month

Had to move from fixed to a tracker which is the cheapest option and is still £550 a month more than before. Now paying £2200 a month repayment and only about £1000 of it is actually paying off the mortgage so I guess I’m just paying rent to the bank too? I’m locked in with a £999 product fee so can’t move when the fixed prices inevitably fall without taking the hit again. Reviewed on: 28th February 2023

Looking good

The fixed rate term is coming to an end and I am looking to pay off the mortgage rather than move to another deal or go onto a variable rate. The information I was given suggests that this will be an easy process - not what I was expecting! Reviewed on: 26th February 2023
