Thank you Lisa for your calm reassuring help

I got great service from Lisa yesterday. I had made a mistake and sent money to an account I had just closed instead of to my newly opened one. I was worried where the money would end up. But Lisa was calm and reassuring. She even phoned me back when our call got cut off! She did what she promised to do to resolve my situation and sure enough today the lost money is sitting in my new account. I am relieved and grateful and won’t make the same mistake again! Excellent help but took too long to get it!

Once I got contact with your assistants ( 1st one was Lisa Adams) they were excellent. Very clear, very patient, very helpful. My only issue why this does not get top marks is the time it took to get that help. First contact took around 35 minutes and the 2nd about 50 minutes. This is far too slow. I think a maximum wait time should be 10 - 15 minutes to be acceptable and you need to enlarge the size of your support team to achieve this - that would be a proper 'Customer Service'. You have introduced extra security since I last logged in. I have found the process extremely difficult. I suggest you have been trying to fix a problem which didn’t exist, without putting in the staff resources to make it work. None of my other banks and building societies have these problems. Better savings rates available with other providers

Savings rates started off in the higher tier compared to like products. As the base rate has dropped, unfortunately the FBS rates have dropped correspondingly, and better rates are available with other providers. The customer service adviser (Donnika Nelson) was helpful in calling and confirming the details of my linked account just prior to closing my FBS account Reviewed on: 16th July 2025
