Please don’t use This card

My card got hacked so I cancelled the card. Asked for a new card to be sent out . Card was sent to the wrong address, when I contacted them to ask where my card was they wouldn’t tell me the address it was sent to. They just said it wasn’t sent to the address I asked. I Tried the same process again giving them my address 3 times making sure they had the correct address. Again the same thing happened, I’ve never had an issue receiving mail at this Address, it’s now been one month no card. Tried several times to resolve the problem and the consultants were of no help whatsoever. This card has a few good things going for it in the rewards program but thats about it. This is the first review I’ve ever wrote custom service is the worst, once your card is locked from being hack you cannot access to see any transactions. I wanted to cancel my card and pay out the balance but couldn’t access my profile to double check the transactions. End of the day worst experience cannot recommend this card whatsoever Reviewed on: 10th February 2025

Great credit card company

This is a great credit card company. Easy to apply for a credit card / credit transfer on line; clear communication; great online web site. Only little niggle is it would be good to have a quick reminder of when first payment is due, not after the date has passed and a prompt to set up a direct debit would be good too. Unhelpful - tried to push into debt problems.

Missed payment, took away promotional rate days after charging the admin fee. Didn’t tell me the rate had gone up and wasn’t willing to help resolve. Will never deal with any Virgin brand again. Reviewed on: 20th January 2018

Didn't know anything about Virgin until I looked at what credit cards were available offering 0% balance transfers, but most importantly, zero fees! Disappointed that my existing card holders, which I've been with for years, couldn't match Virgin's offer. Reviewed on: 19th January 2018

It’s positive that Virgin Money offers credit cards for all purposes including money transfer, balance transfer, purchases and traveling. A Virgin Money cashback Credit Card would be a good product to introduce. It is misleading that Virgin Money sometimes gives a ‘Pre-approved’ eligibility rating on comparison sites such as Experian Credit Matcher however may decline them after making an application. This is not putting the customer first or treating them fairly. I would like to see Virgin Money improve their digital services by introducing a mobile banking app where customers can manage their credit cards on their device and Apple and Android pay. Many other credit card issuers have this service. The online service via the website is very good because you can carry out most transactions, see duplicate statements, offers and view you pin. The telephone is always answered promptly and the staff are always helpful in card services. I really hope Virgin Money truly listen to the feedback on this review site and embrace it to continue to provide a good customer experience. No Moral Compass

Due to personal circumstances, missed payment by a couple of days. Account was levied with both late payment charge & interest. Whilst I was accepting that the late payment was my fault & accepting of the charge, Virgin removed my offer (0% Balance Transfer) forcing me to look for another provider. Virgin not interested in circumstance, just quoted their policy & yes it's in the small print, but I would have expected a little empathy given the circumstance....Virgin you have no moral compass & I shall never use your Brand again, whether that be finance, travel or media!!
