Good Balance Transfer Offers..... but it takes a month to put through

I applied for a Virgin Money account on 10th Jan 17 having keyed my credit cards in to complete a Balance Transfer. I then received a call from the Virgin Security team to approve the balance transfer and they confirmed that the request would go through shortly. I received the card and activated it shortly after. Nearly 3 weeks later the Balance Transfer still hasn't gone through and a call to their Customer Service Dept met with the response that it's usual for a Balance Transfer to take about a month to go through. Not in my experience with others banks! Because of the delay it looks like I will incur interest with my existing credit card so overall not a good customer experience. Reviewed on: 2nd February 2017

Fabulous Easy Friendly Service

It's absolutely wonderful to have a credit card with such easy to use access. Virgin always keep me fully up to date with offers applicable to me and I like the ease of logging on to check balances etc. It's nice to know that the team are on hand at any point to help with any queries we have. It's also a wonderful thing to have offers and competitions and treats aimed at us - so few services give 'something back' to the customer any more. Thank you Reviewed on: 2nd February 2017

I opened a virgin money account so that i could sort out my finances so that i am able to become debt free in the future. Virgin money is helping me with this and i am already in a better position than i was before. The process was simple and easy to use and the service was prompt and i am very happy! excellent monthly offers

Accessible customer service & high security measures

Whenever I had an issue it had been very easy to get in touch with VM customer service; they must employ sufficient number of consultants as I had never had to wait too long to speak to someone about an issue I had. They had dealt with my queries and problems professionally and efficiently. Plus they take security very seriously and check your identity by employing various adequate measures. If there is any transaction on your account which they are not sure of, their team get in touch with you immediately to verify its authenticity. As a customer I have an easy access to my account via internet banking - can pay my bills, transfer money, see the latest transactions, read latest news and learn new offers, etc. All in all it has been for me a good experience with VM so far. Make sure its memorable

When setting up account, as well as a Username you also need a password and pass number so make sure they are all memorable as it's quite a long procedure to change the information. Which is good security as one off codes also have to be entered, these are send to your mobile. Reviewed on: 28th January 2017
