Leak in my bathroom

I had a leak in my house back in June 2023 and Hastings Direct still haven’t completed the works. I have had so many different people from Hastings contact me, mis informing me. I was without carpet in my living room for 8 months. My husband, my 8 year old (7 at the time) and myself had to deal with concrete that was so dusty. We were all coughing a lot because of it. When I asked them for an update, they told me it’s that time of year. People get coughs. Johns of Nottingham who were the contractors were incompetent too especially Jason. My old bathroom vanity unit was damaged when it was ripped out so a new one had to be fitted. Jason told me he couldn’t find a new.one. He measured my bathroom then went away for a long time giving me excuses then had to come back again to measure up again. I ended up asking for someone else and Tim ended up doing the bathroom. It had to be a bespoke unit and I think that was what they were trying to avoid because they were constantly scrimping on money. September 2024 and the works are still not complete. Hastings are great

I had hastings for one year it was a smooth experience and they covered everything I needed and wanted. Unfortunately I had to leave as their price had risen a bit too much for me. Leaving was easy, no problems. Reviewed on: 4th September 2024

Competitively priced.

Were the cheapest by a small amount but have used in the past and very competitive and good customer service. The app they have is about as good as insurance companies have figured out so far. Always worth topping up with a cashback somewhere too Reviewed on: 23rd August 2024

Disgrace.

Disgrace. Basically accused of lying to save them £100. Because I was not in the room when the damage occurred they referred to this as an inconsistency rather than simply honest. Liars and cheats. Took 3 months to refuse to pay so paid £50 in premiums whilst waiting. AVOID. Reviewed on: 10th January 2024

Horrific! A leak that started the size of a coin is now over 4 ft in diameter! They've sent 3 plumbers who have all made the situation worse. It's a living hell! Reviewed on: 26th December 2023
