after visiting my branch to sort a problem out concerning a missing payment for a direct debit to another bank, the two staff members who helped me, Kaisha and Victoria were excellent, professional, friendly and also went above and beyond with the service provided, another reason I have banked with the nationwide for 30 years, amazing staff. So glad we still have a branch we can visit. Although I do a lot on-line it is reassuring to have a place you can go to if it is needed. I have also used telephone assistance which was also excellent. I did have one issue that couldn't be sorted out, but on the whole very good. Looking forward to the bonuses they give to customer/members in addition to the big bonuses they give themselves! Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025

If I could give no stars, I would!

If I could give no stars, I would! Absolutely incompetent, functionally locked accounts because they failed the set up properly, app and internet banking appalling, tons of mistakes made, cost me more money in late payment fees than they 'gave' me as a new customer and a hit to my credit rating (despite having the money and being willing to pay) on top. Takes over an hour to get through to them (don't even bother with the chat function) and out of three formal complaints all three have been batted away, all showing they'd not even read the complaint properly, once blaming the postman! Avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 1st April 2025
