Moral but largely ineffective

Nationwide have again sent out notification that selected customers will be receiving £100. This is an interesting way for a building society to reward customers, especially as the interest rates are very low to non-existent. Nationwide is trustworthy to my mind, but probably not the right choice for anyone trying to be savvy about money. Their lack of branches near me (in a busy urban area) is a big failing sadly. ABSOLUTELY DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT OMG DIDNT REALISE THEY HAD SUCH A DISGUSTING SCORE ON TRUSTPILOT 1.9 That’s ATROCIOUS, I wonder why. PIN YOUR EARS BACK TO FIND OUT Been with them 25 years and they have turned into a ROGUE NATION (Sorry Tom) Sold some Audio Equipment to a guy in Lebanon and now they think I’m a TERRORIST and a money launderer. So now they are requesting me to fill in a 3 page questionnaire of basically ALL MY life and what EVERY incoming & outgoing payment is for the last few years. I DONT THINK SO So now they are going to freeze and close my account just before XMAS Likely going to be difficult getting my money back off them. £10K plus They have just been fined £44 million so don’t expect any member bonus anytime soon Emma Reviewed on: 17th December 2025
