Trying to validate current account to extra saver, bit of a nightmare. No problem with security checks but websites states 2 working days not so, still waiting after 5 days. Would be helpful if this was mentioned when you open the account that you are unable to just add a payee yourself but have to send copy of bank statement for the account you want validated..

Applied for a credit card in january 2018 accepted without hesitation with £11000 credit limit .. 3 sets of forms later . . The first 2 signed and sent back the 3 rd same forms arrive contacted customer service as concerned about signing same forms for a 3rd time giving my bank details .. very unhelpful customer service and asked to cancel account and told i cannot ..mm i have no card apparhently they have not received my application forms ? . No trust in a company that has no clue what they are doing . Returned the 3rd set if forms asking to stop sending me any correspondance and delete my name from there records as wish to apply with a company that values customers treats with respect and employs customer service and administrarion staff who have at least some training in customer care .

I have never had such a bad level of service, I will keep my money under the mattress rather than return to Sainsburys bank thought I have not quite left yet.
My very first transaction on an ISA account I transferred to them a year ago was to try to transfer some money. The online system said over limit please call so I did. After answering and passing security questions I was told I needed to answer extra security with no mention of what that involved, did I want to proceed. Well, yes as I need the money but if I can do it online I will do it that way. No Sir this is just a few simple questions.
1. When did you open a current account, the options were between 1987 and 1991. I failed so cannot have MY money. After much arguing with the person on the phone I was able to raise a complaint. I was told 3 days for contact WRONG it is 8 weeks I have since found out.
I sent in the required documents which cost me £16.95 to get certified and gauranteed before 13:00 delivery. Now it takes 2 days to look at, authorise and send a reply by post for you to get a code to be allowed back in.
After 4 days and knowing my documents arrived I ask to speak to complaints which is when I found out 4 weeks. I was told the same again, we will post to you eventually. We really do not care if your house purchase collapses, it is your duty to know everything on your experian credit report. WOW, a level of customer service to rival Talk Talk.
Anyway I finally get access, phone to close the account and am told yes money will be in you bank by midnight.
Now bear in mind I did this over the phone with the security code I had been sent..... The transfer was flagged to an anti fraud check, how, why?
I finally received a call at 20:30, answered more security questions and confirmed it was me who phoned in with their posted security code and me that requested to leave this awful bank.
So will my money be in my bank by midnight as promised.
Err NO, it was never going to be midnight you should not have been told that either. And as our systems are now off for the weekend it will be sometime on Monday.
So at 14:00 on Friday my account closes with over £50K and now my money is where?
I might see it on Monday.
Is there a person with a brief case walking my money to my PROPER bank?
Fingers crossed I will see my money next week and be able to transfer enough to solicitors to complete my house purchase.
Buying a house is stressful, involving Sainsburys is near fatal.

Just like Talk Talk, I will not return as long as I have a whole in my backside.

The worst service I have ever had from a bank! I applied for a loan online on a Friday which was immediately approved in principle. I was slightly disappointed that they needed to post out documents (supposedly first class) to me to sign and I had to return them for me to receive the loan.

On Saturday I received another email stating that they could not offer me the advertised 2.7% APR rate but my offered rate would be in the documents they had posted. Once I returned the documents they would process the loan and the money would be in my account in 3 – 5 working days. So much for instant online trading.

Nothing arrived in the post on Saturday, Monday or Tuesday however I received an email on Tuesday stating they needed more information in order to process the loan. I rang the number provided to be told the loan was with underwriting as I was self employed. I was eventually told I had been declined, even though I have a credit score of 999 and have never defaulted on anything in my life!

I only picked Sainsburys as they had the lowest rate on Money Saving Expert who I trust. I will be going to a proper bank now instead of cowboys who should stick to selling bread.

I am shocked and appalled with the service I am currently receiving from Sainsbury's bank, specifically their credit card department. In 20 years of using other high street banks, I have never had to complain. In 8 months of using Sainsbury's bank I have had to complain three times, make multiple enquiries, had my card cloned and now, since the card cloning, cannot see any transaction history on my account, despite a balance being present. The nectar points that I am supposed to be accruing with regular spending are absent (complaint raised two weeks ago) are still absent as are the 'sorry' points that they were transferring me. The technical team should be shot, naked in the street for the poor excuse of a banking platform, that is impossible to use from a mobile device and for their lack of an app, possibly the only high street bank now not to have one. Frankly, Sainsbury's should stick to peddling eggs and bread and leave banking to the big boys. Absolute, swivel eyed, lazy, inflexible, opaque, fat cat shonkers who should be hung out to dry by the FCA.

I have a Sainsbury Cash Passport card. On returning home off holiday I stopped to draw cash for my onward journey using the Cash Passport card and the Link machine had a fault and dispensed no money.
Over the next 6 hours Link provided an email to say I had received no cash and that Cash Passport would be able to release the preauthorisation immediately. Not so they wanted 7 days before they would return my money. I was left stranded with no offers of help or interest at al from Cash Passport.
I have since enquired at other Banks who all confirm that the preauthorization could have been released immediately !!!!
My advice don't use Cash Passport as if you are stuck they are not interested!!!

Pre loaded in euros I visited the canaries I used my card in cashpoint and they charged me over 30 euros to draw 150 euro out! And every shop purchase I made they charged me a currency conversion fee!! Now I'm home I'm trying to get the money back but 14 days later and iv still not received anything! They make it so hard to claim your money back you consider giving up!! And what money you have left and want to transfer back to your account is bought at a much higher rate so you loose massively!! Stay well clear I'd say
