Thank you Ellissa Agodi for all your courtesy, help and explanations this morning. I was beginning to despair of ever getting through on the phone as I tried three times and had to give up after 20 minutes each time until I finally got out though to Ellissa, who was brilliant at helping me out! Reinvestment of cash isa

I needed telephone advice about the process of reinventing a fixed rate cash isa. Messiah was courteous, friendly and efficient. He dealt with the reinvestment for me over the telephone. The process was made very easy. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2026

Account status confirmation.

I contacted the Building Society today to confirm my account status and to receive advice on accessing my grandchildren's savings accounts. The advisor I spoke to was very helpful and talked me through the process. The advisor was efficient and professional in her approach and had a friendly demean which was much appreciated. My registration status with the Society was confirmed. I was then guided through the process of registering for an online account. From my perspective, the whole process went seamlessly and to my complete satisfaction. The advisor was helpful throughout making it a very satisfactory experience. Reviewed on: 30th December 2025

I always struggle with accessing my account because...

I always struggle with accessing my account because the OTP comes to my landline and the robot talks too fast. Lisa suggested I move the phone to my mobile and that works a lot better. She couldn't have been more helpful. Reviewed on: 30th December 2025

Their customer service is fabulous

Been with Family building Society for years. So many in fact that I still haven’t got used to the name change from National Counties. They always were and still are the best building society though because of their excellent customer service. You ring up and do not have to go though menu after menu and are answered, usually very quickly, by a real person who is based locally, and quickly grasps what you want to know or to be done. And they can usually sort you out within a couple of minutes because the person who answers can usually do everything that needs to be done. Fast, simple and your savings are sorted. Poor communications

As an existing customer I was very disappointed to find that not only do I have to re-register for online services but that no letters or emails were sent to inform us that this change was happening and so I only found out when I tried to access our online joint account. Now I have to wait even longer to receive a verification code by post and my wife will also have to go through the same lengthy process too. Reviewed on: 22nd December 2025

The decision not to proactively notify customers of the online service upgrade launch date was a business decision, made to reduce the risk of a high volume of calls and simultaneous re-registrations. Information about the re-registration process was available on our website within the Savings Online Service FAQs, allowing customers to complete the process as and when access to their funds was required. For existing customers, your verification code is issued by post to ensure the security of your account. If the code is not received within five days of re-registration, please contact the Society by telephone and we will provide the code directly. In the meantime, you are welcome to contact the Society to carry out any transactions or requests on your behalf, as we are committed to ensuring uninterrupted access to your funds. Response date: 31st December 2025

They offer some of the best savings rates

They consistently offer some of the best savings rates and I have been a customer for many years. I use them online but their branch is fairly local if I ever need them Reviewed on: 20th December 2025
