Easy to deal with, clear info

On maturity of my Bond I was offered a very competitive rate to renew it. This rate was offered before maturity and honoured 3 weeks later when the product matured. Thank you very much. Good interest rates in current market

I opened a Market Tracker Saver and was confused about when I could pay any money into it. I am pretty sure that at the end of the account-opening process a note came up saying you would contact me to let me know. After some days and nothing arriving, I logged on to find my account was inactive. So I messaged FBS and they got back to me very quickly indeed and told me how I could pay in. And within a day or two I received the savings certificate. So, on the one hand, a confusing note but on the other, excellent customer service. Reviewed on: 27th June 2020

Unrivalled

offering the best interest rate around I was happy I accidentally came across them last year, the process of re-investing again was quick and easy but I think it could have been done easier online than using the postal system Reviewed on: 24th June 2020

Lovely people to deal with

Took out I.S.A.’s last year and have been so impressed with the society’s efficient and courteous service, that have transferred other Savings to F.B.S this year. Staff are so helpful and treat you as a valued client, rather than a number. Well done to you all. Reviewed on: 13th June 2020

Frustrating service

It would be great if someone picked up the phone during the hours that the Building Society are meant to be open! I just want to change my address and phone number and I cannot do this online. As a result of these unprecedented times, we have made some temporary changes to our opening hours. From Tuesday 26 May our Head Office will be open from 9.00am to 2.00pm from Monday to Friday and we will be closed on Saturdays. Our phone lines are particularly busy at the moment, so we may take longer than normal to answer calls. However, there is an option for you to leave a call-back request, which will retain your place in the queue so that you don’t have to wait on the line. Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] with a contact number for us to call you, or you can send us a secure message if you are registered for our Online Service. A Change of Address form is also available to download from our website – familybuildingsociety.co.uk. Just go to the FAQ tab at the top of the home page.
