A refreshing take on banking

Communication from Triodos about how my money is used is clear and makes me feel like I’m part of something fair and thoughtful. Good all round

I have had a Triodos bank account for a number of years now and and have never found fault with the bank. I did once suggest an improvement to how something worked online and note that this has now come to fruition, so I hope my comments were helpful. The staff are helpful and pleasant and not particularly hard to get hold of if required. The online experience is smooth. The joy of being a Triodos customer is that if you encounter a problem, on the other end of the phone you'll find a human being who treats you like a human being and who owns the problem and is committed to finding a solution. On the rare occasion when it isn't possible to get through you are kept informed of where you are in the queue so that you can make a judgement on whether to hang on or call back rather than just endless repeats of jarring 'musak' with messages stating how important you are which might go on for hours Reviewed on: 16th January 2022

Knowing that my deposits fund ethical and green SMEs

By defunding my legacy bank of 20 years for Triodos, I feel so much better knowing that my deposits fund regenerative, growth positive, ethical and fair small and medium size businesses - instead of arms companies and the bonuses of investment bankers. Re my customer experience, what stands out is the 2 minute online process and instant confirmation of my 2k overdraft. A bank doesn't need to ask me tons of personal questions if their database already suggests I am more than able to pay on overdraft and related fees. Reviewed on: 16th January 2022

I moved from 24x7 banking with First Direct to Triodos because inconvenience of not being able to call at 9pm is less important than the inconvenience of having destroyed the planet we live on. It matters where you do your banking. Reviewed on: 16th January 2022

I wanted a bank that had a ethics, was community focused and environmentally friendly. It was easy to switch to them and their Customer Services over the phone is exceptional. Customer service is exceptional

Triodos has provided prior to and throughout the Covid Lockdown excellent service to myself. Call waiting time has rarely reached 5 minutes and call-backs from the bank have always been within the timeframe promised. I have never had to chase/follow-up a query with them. The staff one the phone have always been polite and friendly, also answering my queries, or having a colleague respond swiftly if they were unable to help/advise.
