Balance transfer sent to someone else 55 days later still not had no money to correct card

Took out card on phone .filled in all details .all were correct .At end screen went blank Came back on and said request completed ..Checked credit card balance transfer should of gone too nothing there transfered. Phoned on numerous occasions. Everytime they say 'it's been recalled as went to someone else .' 55 days later still no money and I'm having to pay them money for I haven't received .fobbed off every time .terrible service .Nothing gets sorted , sent complaint to customer relations and still nothing .at witts end . Do Not Entertain !

This company is an absolute joke and I would never recommend using them for anything. I received my credit card from them. Downloaded the App from Google Play store put in the information to activate the card and nothing, could not get beyond the summary screen showing the information I had inputted. Uninstalled the App and reinstalled the App 3 times, same on each occasion. Spent 1 hr trying to contact someone in Customer Services, nobody ever answered. Sent emails to the addresses provided by VM, all bounced back. reached out on Twitter and Facebook - no response. This was all yesterday so today I though I will give it one last go. Downloaded the App again, same result. Rang Customer Services and this time did manage to speak to a human. The lady tried to suggest it may be an issue with my phone but as I pointed out, how come I can use HSBC online banking, Barclaycard online, you name it, I can use it but not VM App. Was not able to solve the issue so I told VM to cancel the card. Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely non-existent customer service, archaic banking app, complete lack of security and processes that take weeks to fulfil. Currently trying to get a refund for a purchase I made from a company that are now in administration - the website advises I send a letter with print outs of the emails I've recieved alongside my credit card number. They don't take security seriously

Waiting over 2 months to 'unlock' my account despite sending ID via mail multiple times and going into a branch to get it sorted. Also I'm on the phone now, waiting over 40 minutes just to speak to their credit card team. Can't wait to cancel my credit card with them and boycott virgin forever. What on earth?????????

I have been waiting 12 weeks for my card, no one can find me at there "call center" as they cant find me on there system yet keep emailing me with offers and telling me to use my card??????. Checked my credit score and dropped 126 points ????? I have never owned a credit card before but got it for legal protection for travel. Imagine trying to claim anything? What a waste of time that would be. Just stressed now, phone two three times now and they just cant help me ?????? Avoid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reviewed on: 25th October 2022

Overall poor in multiple areas

My experience with Virgin Money has been poor. I tried to do a money transfer (promotional rate) on my credit card and it was incorrectly flagged as fraudulent. The only way to resolve this was over the phone as they locked me out of the app. This took 42 minutes in total, being on hold for most of it and I ended up being passed around various times, speaking to 3 different people. In the end my issue was resolved, but the money transfer will now take another 2 business days to reach my account. Very frustrating delay as other providers are much faster with a single business day turnaround. What should have been an easy thing turned into a big annoyance for no valid reason. If Virgin had the right procedures in place, I could have confirmed my details in their app rather than being on hold for close to an hour. I wouldn't recommend this company. I regret even trying the money transfer in the first place as I fear I will have to phone them up again for any further issues. Hopeless

At present sitting on the phone for 1hour 11minites and 12 seconds while the operator checks with his "specialist". Nobody in their right mind would ever try ringing Virgin without having something else to do so you don't waste your time while waiting. I thought they were bad when they were handles by MBNA but they have manged to surpass even their incompetence. No 1h 15m 10s!!!! M. Reviewed on: 6th October 2022

I had a virgin atlantic credit card for many years. My wife and I spent around £5K per month on it, clearing the balance by direct debit. You would think that would make them want to keep our custom but their online service was so shockingly bad that we had to switch. Kept on hold for hours on end and when you get through the information given is incorrect. Now with American express and they're really super. Reviewed on: 4th October 2022

Never take their credit card out if you care even 0.0000000000000001% about customer service. It's actually amazing how bad their customer service is considering they're based in the Western world in first world countries. Absolutely terrible they way you're treated if you want to use the chargeback or section 75 claim. You're treated as if you are coming fraud and the fact that you 'can't' claim online is just ridiculous in the paperless age. They still have to send paper forms out so of course, you can't attach any proof unless you have a printer. Then it takes months before you hear anything. Probably every other company does a claim online or over the phone and you hear back so quickly! It's like virgin credit card customer service are just manned by one person who doesn't know what they're doing. I had to create an account to leave this review, that's how bad this company is.
