TSB couldn't organise the proverbial. They have never recovered from the massive computer cock-up last year. Indeed the service and facilities have got much worse overall. For example, something as simple as printing off a list of a customer's Direct Debits/Standing Orders can no longer done in the branch - why?. Another: despite my wife and I both being named on our joint account, only my name shows up on a statement printed from on-line banking. Thus, how does one prove to another financial institution that it IS a joint account, when they ask for a PDF bank statement? And now, every time I try and log into my accounts (any of them - business or personal), I have to go through being sent a One Time Code, despite being told on the screen that if I go through the 'Trusted Device' procedure, this will stop? (I know all banks will have to adopt O.T.C.s by law soon, but why offer a current alternative that won't work?). BTW, I have written this while waiting on the 'phone for TSB customer services to answer - it's been over three quarters of an hour - "we'll be with you soon". I don't think so! If I had the time I would transfer all of our TSB accounts elsewhere. In fact, it's getting to the stage that it might take less time to do that than continue with all the problems TSB are causing. My advice to anyone looking for even the minimum service and function from a bank is, don't bother with TSB. Reviewed on: 8th June 2020

Just disappointing

I'm being harassed by tsb regarding a business I have not been associated with for 2 and a half years despite attempting to resolve for 2 years. Complete failure of their systems and can't explain how disgusted I am with them as a banking institution. Every communication I receive triggers panic attacks and I can't encourage people to avoid them more strongly Reviewed on: 15th February 2023

Very slow and inefficient

Simply dreadful

Have had business account with them for few years and things are worse now than they were at the start. Who's in charge here??! The most basic and simple of requests or tasks an absolute nightmare to complete. Takes ages to get through by phone and then you're faced with agents that just want to be as unhelpful as difficult as possible and keep you on hold for 30mins presumably thinking you'll hang up and give up! Trying for months to open business account

I have been trying for around 4 months to get my identity verified by these clowns and every time I send them they ask me for something else I have even been in to the Doncaster branch with I.d and spoken to the manager who buy the way was most helpful and still the imbeciles at head office block my application. I now honestly believe that these people get a high out of being awkward there's no wonder that their ratings are so low do yourself a big favour and take your business elsewhere cos these idiots will drive you to distraction Reviewed on: 3rd August 2022

Internet banking works better than most

Blocked money

I have try to buy equipment to my business and during the payment process my transaction was dismissed twice and my money was blocked by the bank. At the moment I dont have any equipment and money as well. During conversation with consultant, he promise me that the money should be unblocked in few hours, but after long waiting on the line he change his mind and told me that the money cannot be unblocked. Worst business bank ever. This bank is not safe for the businesses or even for individual . NOT RECOMMENDED Reviewed on: 15th June 2022

getting worse

I was one of the unfortunate ones whose Lloyds account was changed to TSB when there was a split up. It has got worse, a year or two back you used to be able to actually get through to someone before 10pm - now it is 5.30pm. I moved house 2 years ago and despite actually changing address verbally over the phone with someone at TSB (only way) it still is old address - with strangers getting my bank statements. The online banking is temperamental, the multiple payments often won't work and you each month I have to make my usual payments in several goes instead of one. Just avoid like the plague... if you don't bank with them already use any other bank but them. Reviewed on: 7th June 2022

Worst experience ever with TSB - must read

Terrible bank, I had was defrauded by a criminal who stole my card, I promptly called the fraud department as advised by CS but they gave me such a hard time basically making me feel as if I’m lying and they said there will be no refund because I need to prove that it was fraud. I was so broken being that I experienced a terrible episode and now I also need TSB bank to behave like shameless criminals. I had no choice but to take this case to the Financial Ombudsman Service which I waited 3 months but the investigator finally ruled in my favour within 2 weeks of taking on the case, and TSB have now been forced to refund the fraudulent charges plus a large compensation amount as she said that TSB were wrong to behave in this way. They credited the money but no letter or any apology from them. They’re the worst bank. They behave like criminals. But the pain and worries I’ve experienced till then was so bad that no money can take away their rude and disrespectful behaviour. I will now be moving to 2 different banks where I asked around the experience is much better. TAKE MY ADVICE DONT TOUCH THIS BANK. Reviewed on: 22nd May 2022

Business banking current account

TSB have appalling customer service. Trying to change registered nominees on the account and they keep sending back the forms with little supporting evidence for their actions. In addition, they refuse to speak with bona fide company representation on grounds of "protecting the account". Over a year spent trying to get this bank to make changes to the account with no success to date. AVOID TSB AT ALL COSTS!! THEY HAVE A TIN EAR. Reviewed on: 20th May 2022
